How to apply a Vinyl Die Cut Decal to a Car Window

Learn how to apply a vinyl die cut decal to a car window or flat surface. Simple instructions will guide youi to proper application of the vinyl die cut decal/sticker.
Here are your instructions:
1. clean the surface
2. scrape down your new decal
3. carefully peel back the decal from the transfer paper.
4. Decide where you want the decal to go... make it straight.
5. Carefully place the decal on the surface and work from one side so you dont get bubbles.
6. Once its down. Use a credit card again to scrape it down well.

Pulling the back paper diagonally helps the release.

I have an order for a Winshield banner, 2 colors, black background and blue text. Now I live in Canada and I am concerned about having it on the outside. Is it beter to put the decal inside? But at the same time it will be the dull glue side showing from the outside. Or is it fine to just do it on the outside? Thanks for your reply in Advance mate. The vinyl I have for this is by: VVIVID creative technology.

I don't know about VVIVID creative technology vinyl. I can tell you this, however. Ours will last years i any climate. The other thing is that if you put the decal on the inside of the glass you may not see it well and also you will have to get the decal reverse-cut. This is because the decal was designed to be placed on top. If you try and install it behind the glass it will be inside out.

Is there any way to remove decal as I accidentally applied my decal off centre and want to reposition but it's hard to peel off?

Yea just rip it off. It won’t be as sticky anymore but you got it off lol.

I take my car through the automatic about once a week.. will this affect the decal?

Maybe over an extended period of time but it should be fine for quite awhile but it's auto's are horrible on your car! Even if it's a brushless car wash they damage your vehicle in multiple ways. It's always best to do a 2 bucket hand wash if you're physically able to do so.

Just wondering how long it is likely to last as where you have placed it the window wiper will run over it. Is there a different method to applying say you mirrored your image and wanted to place it on the inside of your car instead?

You can but it lessens the life of the sticker because the glue is exposed to IV rays
