Use Vaseline on skin edge... Makes it easier to wipe off and keep your skin dye free.

Awesome tutorial. This just for men stuff is the truth. I made a mistake applying it my first time without reading the instructions. I thought the dye was going to turn the grey hairs black immediately, and was disappointed there was no immediate change when I was brushing it in. So I laid it on THICK. I didn't know I had to wash it off later, so I went to dinner with the fam. When I got home, I looked in the mirror and it appeared that someone had gone crazy with a black magic marker all over my goatee. LOL. Literally looked like someone spray painted my face. I guess my fam decided to be nice and not say anything during dinner because it was super obvious. Luckily I was able to blot most of the excess dye away with wet toilet paper...blotting it off. Just a tip: a little goes a LONG way. A box should last someone a full year, if not longer. Stuff is absolutely awesome.

Do you know why it doesn't do anything for me? Is it only meant for grey hairs? I'm not going grey but I want it to be a bit lighter so I tried the light Brown one but it doesn't do anything? I've tried it twice on separate occasions

For me I find it better if leave the product to turn black first before applying. Then I apply it, wait 5 minutes and rinse off. Lasts way longer this way.

I am bald on top and just have hair on the sides, but I have long sideburns that go down to the bottom of my ear lobes, then jut out toward my mouth. Can I use the hair dye for my side hair AND the burns? Or beard dye on the burns AND side hair? Or do I just have to "bite the bullet" and buy buy a box of dye just for the hair and a separate box of beard dye for the sideburns?

You’re welcome. You can only use in the spots you have grays. It depends how much you use and how often but it can last over 2 months

Thank you for the video. I got a cheaper brand of beard dye however this brand only offers black and dark brown ... I was wondering what happens if when combining the color base and color developer I make a mix of 60% color developer and 40% color base (or vice versa) would this cause a dark brown dye to become light brown dye? thank you.

Hello New, as this guy is apparently too rude to answer you I will help you out. Beard dye, no matter which brand comes in two parts, the peroxide (white thick liquid) and the colourant (the colour), usually the peroxide comes in different strengths when you colour your hair 3,6,9 and 12% but the one in beard dyes will be the same strength regardless of the brand. Feel free to mix and match, the peroxide can be mixed with any other colourant it just depends on what colour you want 😊 good luck 😀 P.s also just regarding quantities, always mix equal amounts! 50/50 ☺

@@Dah42 No problem at all 😀 Well thank you very much! ☺ One thing I forgot to mention was don't forget to do the patch test if you're using a new colour brand for the first time, I'm sure you're aware of this but mix a tiny amount of colour up and dab it on the crease of your arm, leave for 24/48 hours and if you have no reaction to the colour you're good to go (google 'beard dye patch test' if unsure) Take care 😀

I've been using this product for the past 6 months or so it's just for my goatee and mustache area I take everything out of the box and after I put equal amounts from each tube into the tray I tighten the caps on both tubes to save for the next time But it never works the next time at all so I end up throwing it away and getting a new box which works great the first time and I go to try it for the second time about a month later and again it does nothing 😕

My husband wants to do his beard, he's a brunet with random read patches in his beard. Only issue is his hair is so coarse he can't give up washing nightly so the color last 😩 we dunno what to do. Hey I have some questions... I have full bear that connect but it’s no dense I can still see my skin .. would monoxidil help me get a full dense beard ? And would monoxidil result will stay only as long as you keep using it meaning if you stop results will go away ?

Minoxidil does work on marking beards thicker but the decision is yours. The trick is to use it for more than a year so you can keep all the gains you get. I’ve been using for 1.5 years n I’m now stopping and making a video about it. I’ll let everyone know if I got to keep all the gains or not.

Used this product for many years easy to use put it on 5min later jump in the shower you are done. However recently I have developed a strong adverse reaction and I'm not sure but I think they have changed the formula. Now I'm on the search for a non alergic product. I don't grow a beard often and always shave it when it gets to 2 months half my beard is blond though so looks thinner than it is. Wanted to try dying it the same color as my head hair which is almost black just for fun before I shave again. Don't really grow it much though mostly cause of how blond it is and if I do grow facial hair just go for a goatee still young so might be a while till I have a full beard if I get one.

New sub here! I saw your minoxidil videos and I really wanna start using it myself cause I’m tryna grow my beard out more. I’m just worried about the hair loss side effect. Hair loss doesn’t run in my family, does it just depend on genetics? Or would hair loss happen regardless? Also, what’s your opinion on dermarollers that supposedly help with beard growth?

If hair loss doesn’t run in your family then you have a really small chance of hair loss during minoxidil use. It’s not guaranteed that you won’t lose hair though. I’m gonna try derma roll after I stop using minoxidil to see if I can get that patch on my right side completely full. Thanks for supporting the channel

This is an old comment so I'm sure you've already done your research but I'm pretty sure any hair loss from Minoxidil is temporary. That being said, peppermint oil is a great natural alternative if you're scared of side effects. I've been dermarolling once or twice a week with a solution of peppermint in carrier oil to dilute it (too concentrated is bad). It works great!

This is probably irrelevant now but for future reference, minoxidil will not cause hair loss if you use it on beard hair. Your beard hair is totally different from the hair on your head. The only reason people see hair loss on beards using minoxidil is because your beard has a transition phase. Vellus hairs turn into terminal hairs and in between is a shedding phase. This happens with all facial hair. The biggest reason you notice it when using minoxidil is because you have way more hair on your face. If you use minoxidil on your scalp you will lose hair as soon as you stop using the product

Not really. It’s tough to have a short goatee and keep it died.

how long does the dye last for before you need to reapply?

I do it every 2 weeks there’s enough in the package to last a few times

Just a few corrections, Just For Men says to do the skin test area on the inside of your elbow, and it also says in bold that you start the timer after you're done applying, and you can leave it in for up to 10 minutes. Also DO NOT use soap to wash your beard out.
