Great help! Is the white covering truly opaque - must not be able to see through it?

Most brands are opaque. But that depends on your starting surface. For example, my desk is black, so i put a beige paper over it, discovered that the black can be seen through the beige after the first application.....so if your starting surface is dark, maybe paint a light layer of white over first?

Don’t do your corners like this. Use a hairdryer and pull around the corners. This will make sure you have a clean edge without cut marks

How easy is this to remove, if the aim was to temporarily cover a full cupboard? Like, could you have this on a year and then pull it off, if no longer wanted?

If you use a hair dryer (or preferably a heat gun) the vinyl will shrink to the point that it will ping off the edges of the cupboard and you'll be able to remove them without any damage, assuming you didn't use any sealant or other adhesive.

@@red149 I'm not sure about windows because I've never tried it but at least with cupboard doors you can remove them and it shouldn't leave any trace. Or at least nothing you cannot remove with a bit sticky stuff remover spray/liquid.
