I think she already pushed it back and applied a dehydrator or alcohol that's why it looks dry and conspicuous. Also maybe she's not into cutting her cuticles.

Yeah some people don’t trim their cuticles bc it’s bad for you because germs get in there and make you sick. Like you’re more prone to colds/flus. Some people aren’t trimming their nose hairs rn either bc of covid bc it’s safer that way.

Yeah, you can use alcohol or something called “cleaner”. Or you can use non-sticky top coat.

There’s “no wipe” gel polish out there that is specifically made to not have the sticky layer. I don’t think there’s any no wipe polygel out there because of the way polygel is formulated. If you don’t wipe off the sticky layer before filing it can gunk up and ruin your files

When doing gel nails: 1. Wash and thoroughly dry hands. 2. Dry manicure: Push cuticles back. Trim/file nails. No soaking. 3. Remove oil from nail plate with a product such as OPI bond-aid. 4. Apply acid-free primer to nail plate. 5. THEN you can apply base coat. 💖 -Your friendly neighborhood cosmetologist.

😱 Agressif/Over - filing/drilling on the natural nail will only cause damage!! Scratchiness is also due to over filing!! Cuticles are to pushed back 💅 Applying less pressure is needed

buffing the nail bed should be done for any application (gel polish, acrylic, gel, gel tips, polygel etc). Nothing new about it nothing harmful 🤦🏻♀️

It's not damaged you just need to buff it lightly with a nail file so it's not shiny. Nothing sticks to an oily shiny surface just like you'd buff a furniture before painting it

@@jeronicaalliea8225 there are so many good products out there for nails now. I like the brand Kodi. It’s from Ukraine but the products are amazing and they are good quality. Check them out. The rubber based gel stuff is good.

@@septbaaby i used it for a really long time and many different ones and i always had to use it ot it would fall off.Many people also complain about it falling off with only base,bc the base has nothing to stick to on the nail so after some time it just falls off.

@@marialisowska3103 well idk what they were using but with POLYGEL it ONLY REQUIRES BASE COAT. I have on a polygel set right now that has been on a for a little over a month, and nothing has happened to them except one chipping off and that was not even a week ago. If you're doing them well, you'll be fine. How many times did you try polygel?

I like to use a nice medium grade nail file and gently file it down close enough to my natural nail. Then I like to soak my nails in warm water with some shampoo and pure olive oil. Soak for 15 mins.

Could use this and just.let grow natural nail back fresh underneath would take a lil extra loving care prob few extra products for the protection etc but natural nails any day I think hope u can get your naturals back how u want them wish I could. You can soak it in acetone. Polygel might take a little longer to soak though.

@@juliazolotarevich5742 ну не разрешают в некоторых странах срезать кутикулы без мед.образования, это приравнивается к операции. Мастер может занести инфекцию ( в РФ много кто потом с панариций пропадает на стол к хирургу, после похожа в салон)

I do my own gel nails at home natural look so I keep it clear I never buff my nails on the top I never scratch my nails at the top and they last good 2 weeks because I like that when I don't have my gel nails on and I have my natural nails that they still look beautiful and natural not all scratched up I think it ruins the nails I know nails will grow but it ruins them I hate that they do this. X3

If it’s done correctly, it’s not gonna do anything to your nail. Proper nail prep and removal are the most important.

Nope, the only thing that can ruin your natural nails in improper prep (over filing, incorrect filing) and improper removal of enhancements (biting them off, ripping them off, prying them off, etc). The product itself be it poly gel, hard gel, dip, or acrylic do not damage the nails.

@@actual______criminal acrylic does ruin your nails, it wears down at the nail structure, and the prepping steps the nail techs use to hold the acrylic onto the natural nail wears down the nail.

Soak some cotton pad pieces in 100% acetone, place over the nail and wrap it in aluminium foil. Let it soak for about 8-12mins. The polygel will soften up and go gummy then you just scrape it off with an orange wood stick or cuticle pusher tool.

If you want to do nails yourself and you want to get acrylics. Do not over glue them. Because if you do that, you might end up taking the whole skin of your nail off.

Cutting the cuticle isn't needed for adhesion it's only for aesthetic reasons. You only need to push it away from the nail bed

The fake nails themselves do not ruin your natural nails, if your nails are looking or feeling thin or damaged after wearing enhancements it’s because the removal was not done properly or the prep before the fake nails was not done properly. Overfilling the natural nail and incorrect removal (ie doing anything other than soaking them off) are the main causes of damaged nails.
