How to Apply Iron On Edge Banding to Plywood / Melamine | Woodworking Tips - Overkill Woodcraft

After ironing on over 5,000 feet of edge banding onto plywood, I finally made a full-length video showing everything I’ve learned (mostly the hard way). It contains everything from basic tips and inexpensive yet effective tools, to advanced techniques that will increase efficiency. So no matter what your experience level with it may be, you’re bound to gain some helpful insights after watching this.

I hadn't seen some of those tools before either. I like that you gave multiple ways to get the job done, you're a natural teacher. I've watched your IG stuff and went looking for your KZfaq, but you didn't have one, and was disappointed! Best of luck with your channel dude. Good start!

Hey I really that dude, and the feedback! Yeah it quite a bit of trial and error before landing on this setup, definitely good to have options though. I always enjoyed teaching in the military so I'm glad I'm able to incorporate here, just wish I would've started sooner. Definitely excited to see where it goes though, and keep improving!

Great tips! I've done quite a bit of edge banding this way. But definitely need one of the trimmers!

Thanks dude! Yeah the trimmer is a tad pricey but worth it if you're doing a lot of this. The blade lasts a surprisingly long time as well, been through over 2K feet with this one and it's still plenty sharp 👍🏻
