Does wetting it down a second time help get the streaks off the glass? I found the glass looked cloudy in a certain light. It drove me crazy, but worked wonders everywhere else.

Yes I found extra passes with the pressure washer helped 'push' the product in. Initial passes with a lower pressure shown up some directionality to the way I'd wiped, ie wiping left to right caused the beading to 'show' this pattern. Higher pressure or extra passes caused the beading to be uniform. This was more easily seen on the glass as the marring reduced with more pressure washer passes

Can I use soap to wash it afterwards? Won't it remove the foundational layer of the wax if I do that?

@@forcedbreathingistyranny696 y You can. And then after you rinse the soap off, apply a small amount of the Ceramic Spray on each panel and rinse again and dry. Works great.

Hi, if you had claybarred and polished the car before applying the product, then you do not need to change microfiber towel to do the sides if the paintwork is the same condition. If your bonnet has a few chips or imperfections, then I would consider changing the towel , as the sides of the car is generally less worn than the bonnet, roof, and trunk . Hi again, thanks for the tip, sounds good but this product is activated by water, that is what makes it bond to the surface, hence it needs to be applied to a wet vehicle. Adding water might make it activate in the bottle.

Its okay to use it on dry surface? Ive been using it like that. Wash the car and dry with a drying towel and then spray the wax and laveling with a microfiber and wipe it again with another microfiber.

Hi, you will need to spray it on a wet car as it is water activated . If you have a hard time buffing it , spray water on the car then spray one or two squirts then buff dry , should get rid of streaks .

Hi Denzel, that is what I did. Wash the car , and rinse, then while it is wet I sprayed the product on the vehicle. 1- 1.5 sprays will not be enough for a bonnet unless it is for a fender. People must remember there is a difference between doing it on a new car and a 10 year old car . Consider Subscribing if you haven't already.

This is what I do. The car is wet and clean after a first rinse. Then I spray on each panel while the car is still wet. Then I spray off. Then I apply soap and dry the car off entirely with microfiber towels.

Hi, I think the first area you made a mistake was spraying it dry and buffing. This product is activated by water, if it is dry then it will cause streaks. I would recommend 10 percent IPA alcohol and 90 water mix solution to get rid of the swirls (spray and wipe). The other thing you can do is to polish the car and it should come off.

I have tried it dry and it did not work well. Maybe certain paint types react differently i.e hard paint vs soft paint.

@@DocMackGarage I think some ppl use too much product. I recently ceramic coated my pick up with a professional grade coating and use this to help maintain my finish. Wash and rinse vehicle thoroughly, initial application, apply liberally to vehicle one panel at a time, damp microfiber towel and gently apply, then rinse off...power washer recommended. Great results

@@DocMackGarage I've done it on 3 cars using dry panels. Damp microfibre to spread it and dry to to buff. Came up fantastic. Good review on another channel showing all 3 methods. Dry method had much better durability

I would say to give the car a wash , then try it and inspect it . If you need go apply it again, wet the car first. Some users are saying dry applications work, but I belive it is dependent on whether it is soft or hard Clear coat . Let me know how you go.

You can also do it on the same day if you like, if not leave it a week or so before 2nd coat , car needs to be washed first .

I would say yes but to a certain extent , leave it out a week and dust will build up. There are no products which will fully repell the dust

Hi George, I applied it approx 80 days ago and it is still quite good but not as good as the first day. Some people might say 6 months worth of durability, but I would take that with a grain of salt. It really depends on where the car is parked and how much mileage you do. With typical usage and it parked in the garage maybe 5 months, and with the car parked off street maybe 3 months. good 3-6 months, depends on weather, mileage and external exposure, and contaminates from the road -- my Outback is outside 24x7x365, and gets washed every few weeks during the spring/summer/autumn, and less so over winter, i just top up the HCW protection every few months to keep it in top shape, and use the HC Detailer to keep glass and light marks off in between washes.

That is correct. This is not a polish, it is a ceramic coating/ wax . It can cover up some minor swirls but eventually you will see the swirls if you don't prep your paint before applying. Consider Subscribing if you haven't already 🙂

Wash your vehicle using the two (2) bucket method with a grit guard in the rinse bucket. You would see a massive reduction in swirl marks and scratches in your paint

Are you plastered lol jk. It really depends on the paintwork. If it is newer paint then yes less product, older paints clear coat takes quite a bit to bond .

Side windows are fine, I would strongly advise against the Windshield as it may streak at night

I found it showed streaks when I tried it. They say you can, but I had terrible luck with it on glass and I was careful not to apply a lot and buffed the dickens out of it. Still had cloudiness.

@@DocMackGarage I just finished detailing my second SUV. On the first one, I applied this to the whole car, glass and all. I used very little, and rinsed immediately, doing it one panel at a time. THE CAR WAS THOROUGHLY WASHED BEFOREHAND, and there was beading still going on from a previous wax job. The windows streaked pretty bad, and it was difficult cleaning them off. I used alcohol and secondly a vinegar cleaner. It took a lot to get it off to the point where they were not streaked. Streaked glass just drives me crazy, be it on a car or my house windows. The second car was also washed beforehand and still had water bead up from the previous wax job. This time, I used a leaf blower to remove about 80% of the water and applied this to a damp cloth and rubbed it in and buffed it off. That way, I was able to keep it off my glass. This was extra work but I wanted to get a more precise coat and better adhesion since I am preparing for winter, when washing will not be as thorough or as often. This worked better than the first car. Next season, I will try a third type of application, kind of a combination of the first two methods. I love the look you get with this new product. It will your pocket....this shit is a bit expensive to waste it.....so...for this product...yes....it will hurt your pocket.....1 bottle should last you the whole year if apply 3 or 4 times a year....unless you got a war tank

That depends how much it rains....water keep sickening the stuff.....so.....if you got a good 4 to 5 month with only a few showers....you good....where I'm from in cleveland ohio.....from spring to fall.....I apply that 6 times.....on a every 2 weeks or so car wash......winters in here are too cold and snowy.....but that stuff before winter or everytime it get a bit warm.....it make it more easy to clean icy windows and snow from the car

You are most welcome to try it the way you claim Meguiar's says to use it. You have to note that if you do it on a brand new car, you will have to apply less, but on a used car you will need to apply more.

I did not answer that at the time because it would not have been fair to say without seeing it for myself. About 3 months if the car is used every day and parked on the street everyday . About 6 months with normal usage but stored in the garage.

My videos are all genuine and my honest opinion. Is yours a 1 stage or 2 stage paint ? What are the microns ? Did you claybar and or iron decontaminate the vehicle? If you get streaks it could be contaminants embedded into the paint.

I can say I’ve never had that issue, and I’ve used it three different ways. I’ve sprayed it on a wet vehicle and rinsed it off, I’ve sprayed it on a wet vehicle and take a cloth and wiped it and then sprayed it off and dried, and I’ve also sprayed it on a damp cloth and wiped it on and buffed it off. As with any wax or sealer less is better. I find that a lot of people who don’t like this type of product usually apply too much. Not sure if that was your case but just a thought.

Lol for the foundation layer you will need to use more than just a few squirts , on the stacking layer you can use less. I did mention in text that I sprayed a little extra.

@@DocMackGarage Interesting after watching a Meguiars actual demonstration they explicitly said DO NOT overdo the spray as it goes a long way.

It really depends on the paint stage of the car whether it is a 2 stage or 1 stage paint and whether it is soft or hard paint or 1k or 2k clear. If the car is older, then more is needed, and if it is newer then less is needed. I find the durability whilst using less product is not very long. I find there is no right or wrong way of using this product as you will need to judge as you go. If you do use less, then buffing is more of an ease but durability lessens.

That's what she said too ... . Correct, first prime the towel and then a few squirts are enough. This is by far the best detailer. Zero streaking, even on glass. Grtz

This product works so well that you really only need a few squirts for it to do its job. When you spray your car with it for the first time, you use a little more than if you spray it again afterwards. Often afterwards I make a syringe of a few syringes to see the effect already.
