Hello - Some cursive fonts leave odd spacing between letters. To fix this, I've had to break the word up into separate text boxes. How do I "glue" or combine different text boxes together so that when I cut them, they're frozen together and the design does not move to be cut?

Hi. I am uploading Xmas images from online and adding them and text to make Xmas cards. Sometimes what you have described (and very clearly) above works and then again I have instances where the cricut maker wants to cut out each I n d i v i d u a l letter as well as the image! Oh but of course cuts out the card too. So I end up with a bunch of wasted cardstock. Oh, the mat layout is all on one mat. On design space there are NO scissors by anything other than the actual card itself. Might you know what is causing this and is there a way to correct it? I won’t vent about how bad the software to the cricut is because I love it too! But yeah, the software is really bad. Nothing should be as complicated as it is. Wait a minute, thought I wasn’t going to vent! Thank you for any insight you might provide.

Does the font have to be in writing mode in order for the words to process on the image. I am using the app on my phone and it doesn't give me the option to change it to writing. If I use regular text on an image and group it as a print and cut will it still only cut the shape?
