correct me if I'm wrong, but coinbase or binance aren't required to report to the IRS until 2024, when they have to send 1099Bs to the IRS and traders. BUT, the IRS certainly can ask for thr transactions and these exchanges have to comply

FYI Puerto Rico is still part of the US. No worries, it’s a common mistake! It’s not a state, but US federal laws apply (different tax laws for investments and income generated in Puerto Rico). It’s residents are US citizens .

Last month I rolled over a 401k to a Roth IRA. I’m pretty excited about it and plan to DCA into BTC and probably start buying some Chainlink.

Only way as a US citizen to pay less crypto taxes: 1. Hold coin\ token for more than 365 days. 2. Start a CRT (charitable remainder trust) 3. Leave the US and realize that it WAS the best country, but now it isn’t. Cheers.

@Whiteboard Crypto. Is 7% annuity generated like an interest rate without affecting the funds or is it deducted from the funds inside CRT. In that case, wouldn't it exhaust the total funds in just 14 years if you deduct 7% from a sum of 500 grands.
