Backing up an Android phone has never been easier. From the point of setting your phone up for the first time, your phone is backing up unless you opted out. In this video, I show you how to check to make sure your phone is backing up to the cloud. We look at backing up a Google Pixel 3 XL and a Samsung Galaxy S10+.

Brilliant, thanks for this. When I was iOS and switched phones, the process was pretty straight forward. Whenever I swapped Android phones in the past, I always used to just abandon text messages, for example or download some App to transfer them over. Now, I realize that I'm *already* doing this and that my SMS are being backed up for when I change phones to Google Drive. Thanks again for the clear instructions though, without them I probably wouldn't have realized! 😉👍

Hi! I watched your video but still not clear on how to backup to the Cloud. First of all I am not even remotely techy. I have an Android phone - G7 ThinQ. I just ordered via Spectrum a Galaxy Samsung. I would like to backup my current G7 thinQ Android phone to the cloud before I cancel the service, so I can pull this info into my new phone when it arrives. My options don't look like what you're showing on your video? Not sure what to do - thank you for any help!

How do I switch from one phone to the other all data. Do I need two SIM cards. I'm not a techno When I go back onto one to OneDrive or Samsung cloud it asks for verification from another device but I only have the two phones and one SIM card so how can I verify!?

I have a Motorola Android, I did the backup no problem. I am considering restoring the phone but cannot find the restore option under Backup so I'm concerned about that prior to resetting my phone. Please advise.

I have an LG how do I save my photos from being deleted from a T Mobile phone that was shut down? Cause of over charges from them? My phone is home. I for got to bring it to jersey with me. Selected this video & got popups " select payment methods, and something about playlists. 🙄 🚩 🤔 Nothing selected lead to any revelance for those popups. Seems that a visit to a Corporate Store very soon is Necessary.

I recently got a pCloud account and their Android backup for photos put everything into one giant folder on pCloud. Maybe i am missing something but I would like to keep backup my Galaxy photo folders and not merge them into one. is there a pCloud option to do that?

I have a Samsung G5 that I want to transfer all my stuff over to new Samsung A5 I have tired many times however contact inform is only about 60%. I have switched sims card to old G5 and have used wifi to transfer however it keeps asking to dump some files as too big. I only need contacts and photo, Can you suggest a simple way for this simple person to achieve this. I can copy to computer or cloud but not sure what to do and dont want to screw or loose contacts.
