I go through my process from start to finish in bake decals in Blender, and also how to use them. Decale machine is the way to go, though. There will be some more tutorials around baking in a blender that will be come out soon as well.

So i love your tutorial on how to make decals but could you make a video showing the process now of how to bake out the textures on a model with decals included? What the steps would be and so on. Like your other video from months ago showcasing a ship from Star Citizen we could see all the decals they used for geometry. Id love to see how the process would be using decal machine for something like that and how to set up that material in a game engine like unreal engine 5.

thats a whole diffent ball game, they used very advanced techniques and advanced custom shaders to do this, decal machine and unreal don't mix well at all, you need to find a lot of work around and it will take some serious effort to get things working
