Good idea.. BUT..The issue I had with that was the bigger size was thicker and would have been an issue to flare and bend up into the bow.. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@stephansmithoutdoors ok I was going back through both videos just couldn't find it. Got a quote on the aluminum for $141 so I'm happy about that.

I rolled up the carpet and removed the screws from the wood.. ALL NEW CARPET when I put the new deck back on, I wrapped it in carpet and put the screws through the carpet and the wood to the aluminum framing. So if needed to be removed wouldn't need to mess with removing the carpet.. Not difficult that's probably the easiest thing to do.. IMO nothing about this was particularly difficult.. Just time consuming. If considering doing this I would recommend watching this video over again several times. Not cause I need views.. I think one should have a real grasp of the undertaking.. ​@stephansmithoutdoors Thanks for the prompt response. I love what you did. I'm thinking of putting the rod locker next to the existing rod holders as I don't want to move the front seat forward. I want to put a recessed foot pedal tray in front of the seat. Do you think this idea would work? Thanks!

@@lisajohnston6422 There's a million ideas out there.. Nothing's impossible. It boils down to whatever you want..

I would paint whatever wood you use with an oil based paint or sealer before you carpet it.. Seen some bare wood ones out there... Afraid that just won't last.. If your going to put in the effort do it so that it lasts.. My advice.

So the biggest thing about the foam is make sure you have low ambient humidity, mix small parts at a time to strategically put it in the areas it needs to go and let it expand, then add more as needed.. As for all the wiring, it was held up while I poured the foam so it all sits above the solid foam.. and NOT BURIED like it was from the factory.. That's why you have to be careful cleaning chipping out the old foam so you don't nick your wiring..

@@stephansmithoutdoors gotcha, Ive had a small look under the floor of my Pro170, and to be honest your re-framing is waaaaay more substantial than factory. Im not happy with Tracker factory QC...it sucks

Didn't feel like I needed to at the time.. All the factory harness now rests above the foam.. There's screws in the deck into the aluminum.. Check out the comments with Extreme Boating below..
