Wish you would bring out a plug and play style charger that you can connect to prewired battery boxes.

Hi guys, great video and kudos to the presenter. I wired it up like in the video, should I disconnect the battery if my car isn't to be ran for 2-3 weeks? I work fifo and usually leave it as is, but a friend suggested I put a isolator in there but I've never really had a drama with the redarc in standby mode. Thank you.

I have installed the Core 25 installed in the back of my car, connected to a lithium battery. My car doesn't have a smart alternator, so I left the blue wire. However, I noticed that it seems that the main battery is being drained when the engine is not running by the Core 25. When I wanted to go away, the main battery was flat after a few days of the install. I followed the instructions.

Great video, thanks. Can you tell me what size anderson plugs you used? Are they SB 50 or sb 120?

It's a 25A charger, so I think an SB50 would be more than adequate.

Hi Den, Normally an SB50 Anderson connector or similar would be more than fine to carry the current required. That should do well. Cheers!

I have the BCDC Core 1240n and will install it in my caravan. Two questions I have if you can answer please: 1 / Is there a video on the Core install for a caravan? I cant find on KZfaq. 2/ I have the smart alternator, so the blue wire needs to connect to ignition. Is there a source in the 12 pin plug? If not then I have to run this blue wire all the way to car fuse box? Appreciate Redarc stuff... thanks

Thanks for watching! REDARC does not currently have a specific install video for the Core40 into a caravan, There are two ways you can go about getting a ignition signal to the blue wire. One is to use a spare pin in the 12 pin plug for a ignition trigger (you would need to check your plug to see what pins are free). @@REDARCElectronics Second link option shows an SBI installed... hoping I dont require that with the Core.
