Its because when you speak and hear yourself speak in real life, you hear your voice differently to your actual voice. When u record your voice and play it back, you sound weird because thats your actual voice

@r0zi_lla plenty of great singers that many would say suck that (Will I am - admits can't sing without auto tune, Biz Markie horrible singer but so fun to listen to, my fav David lee Roth has a great story of sucking before he put in the effort). Getting past your mind is key to growth. You don't need to be a great singer to be a great musician.

Pitch ,was never a problem for me ,I can listen to a complex run and correctly identify all the notes in that run .But I just cant sound like im singing when I sing.Its not that bad either (not as bad as a dying duck) ,but I just can't sound like im singing.its like im hitting the correct notes with my speaking voice and it doesn't sound pleasant.Its super frustrating.

I had the same problem, i worked on my vocal placement and it improved alot. Try watching videos about forward vocal placement. I don't know if it's possible to work on it alone or not cause i had a vocal coach helping me.

@@hakamshakir oh God they all said the same thing 🤣 ,they'll demonstrate a forward placement (their version of a forward placement!!!!🤣) they can't even sing.They'll tell you to "put the sound on your cheek,feel the vibration in the cheekbone","nyah,nyah,nyah" "nggggggGaaa,nggggggGaaa,exercises🤓".Some tell you to " lift the soft palete "," relax the soft palete",some even say ,to achieve forward placement"no air should come through the nose" but singers can hum with forward placement, it sounds warm ,beautiful and interesting ,yet all the air comes out through the nose when you hum.The more I watched these videos the more confused I become🤣.I just wanted to sound beautiful😭
@hakamshakir
@hakamshakir Жыл бұрын
@@MineCraft-nz9pg Exactly, It's way more complicated than just lifting the soft palette up. This is why i recommend doing it with a coach because it'd take way less time with someone guiding you the right way. It took me a couple of weeks to be comfortable holding that position when singing. And till now i still forget to hold it in some songs.

@@lisam8608 hmm I'm not a professional by any means, but my 2 cents are maybe you're putting too much pressure on yourself. It's good to push yourself to get better but you may be forcing it. Other aspects to remember: A. Your internal muscles need to support your singing. B. Don't constrict or force things, the clearest tones and loudest voices come most effortlessly. They come there by technique and practice, not by forcing things. C. Your upper register muscle and your lower register muscle need training, too.

You know what I’m talking about they look at you and say aren’t they great aren’t they good? Well I don’t wanna pop anybody’s bubble but half the time it’s for the two reasons that you mention. I love this. As an amateur singer trying to work my way pro all I hear daily is obsessive annoying comments about how my pitch is off. It literally is all people can fixate on yet not once have I ever been told my tone is bad. Not once.. yet I continue to be ridiculed and shamed for my struggle with pitch. My vibrato and power can knock down an apartment complex yet it's never noted or taken into any consideration. What I invite people to understand is tone does matter just the same. I agree pitch is important but as illustrated in this video you can have bang in pitch but if the rest isn't there then it really doesn't matter. Pitch is NOT everything.

ah i know how i can go in high note, i can do high note, i have soprano voice, but i can't do belting, neither run and riff, i can sing ballad with high note as a beginner but i don't try at all mariah carey etc as a beginner, i can't do that, i don't have the technique! And i sing with my head high voice that sounds sweet and i like it

I have a very good high voice, like Ariana grande notes. I’m just bad at holding them. It’s undeveloped. Although I could be a good singer if I tried. My deep notes are horrible. Like the lovely from Billie elish, those notes that go, “Oh I hope some day I’ll make it out of here” I’m bad at that part but when she goes “isn’t it lovely, all alone” I’m good at that. Also, I feel that I can’t sing loud either. Any tips??

i have a good sense of pitch and i have a vocal coach now. Before going to a vocal coach, i know my voice is high-pitch when i talk and when i sing, i like to sing ballad with high note, i have a soprano voice so it's easy for me and it's harder to me to go to low voice! My coach teached me if the piano note is high or low and i reproduce the sound, that helps me

The thing is a good chunk of singing is in my opinion “a god given talent”. Some people have tone deafness so they cant hear when they are off pitch, therefore that cant sing correctly. But then again just because someone can hear if they’re off key or on key doesn’t mean hey sing correctly or good, which takes time developing your voice and learning good singing posture and technique to achieve a good singing voice

My voice naturally has a lot of vibrato when singing and sometimes it makes it sound kind of weird but no matter how many i try to hold a note it will always have vibrato at least near the end, is there a way to untrain my vibrato to gain more control when using it?😊
