I had a prodigal daughter who ran so far away from God. She tried everything imaginable and was very rebellious. After praying for over ten years for her heart to change, she called me one night and said she had confessed her sins and the love of Jesus had saved her. That was two years ago and she is a totally different person. Keep praying! God hears! Praise the Lord!

During my childhood I didn't wait for my parents to teach me about God but at the age of 8 years old I seriously read my Bible ( good news bible).. although I am not understand it but it's knocked some sense to me . A few years after that people from the church including the pastor help me to study the Bible till I get a clear picture why I need Jesus in my life . I am from a chaotic home ...my father is an alcoholic..my mother working very hard to provide for the family. As a little child I don't like the way my parents handle their own family , that's why in my little child head I make a serious commitment to God that I will not let my life to be like my parent's had. Because of my seriousness in God, many years later I managed with the help from God brought all my siblings and our parents to accept Jesus in their life . My father once he accepted Jesus into his life also stop drinking till today. Sometimes God uses little child to bring Jesus unto a broken home ...Amenn

I’m 19 years old, it’s so hard to be a Christian teenager and many teenagers don’t believe in Jesus but i want them to believe in Jesus I’ll pray for them everyday and I’ll keep my faith forever 💗💗🙌🙌

My Daughter was on the heroine, I was already Christian, but I intervene, i used to follow her, begging, even though I organize a funeral for both of us, I didn't believe in my Lord Jesus, then my Christian sisters asked me to leave to Jesus, to God, to the Holy Spirit, and I couldn't but there was a point that I was so desperate that was nothing else to do was give up my life and my daughter to Jesus. She is cured now, has 2 beautiful children, and a loving husband. Praise GOD Lord Jesus.

I raised up my now adult kids in church for the past 22 years. Both of them walked away from the Lord and didnt want to come around me because I am a Christian. In November of 2022 my 33 yr old son took his life and my daughter was the last one to see him, so shes more stand offish from me then before. Im praying that my daughter gets sick of living with out the Lord and crys out to the Lord during this time of grieving. She needs Jesus. Im standing on the Word of the Lord for myself and her during this time. May the Lord reach her heart and change her. 😊

I prayed scriptures over my son dj daily morning, noon, evening & the midnight hour June 8 th 2020 he left for the hospital for an infection, there he got covid. For another month he was in the hospital they put him on a trach....he ended up passing July 30th...I stayed outside of the hospital in Mesa Az just praying for him from the early morning into the midnight. He was in a coma and I couldn't go see him but I did what I had to do stayed near him in prayer he passed July 30...the hardest evening ever but in spite of all that I know the Lord heard my prayer even though I wanted him come home. I miss him so much he was 39 years young.

My five children break my heart. It was not until I turned 50 that I became a Christian and gave my life to my Lord, resulting in my children growing up not knowing Jesus. They accept the fact that I believe but I have been strongly told not to speak if Jesus in their homes. I pray every day for them.

Amen, please keep my adult unmarried sons and daughter, Kiron, Avish and Chrissa in prayer as all 3 of them are drug addicts and are struggling in life. I have been a single mum and bread winner for the past 33 years from a hindu background. I have been praying for them with no results. My second son Avish had given his hart to the lord for a short time, about 6 Months and is gone back to drugs. I feel so hopeless and helpless and can't understand that this could happen to him. I was a prodigal daughter. Baptized in my teenage years…but left the faith In my early 20s up to my 30s. Was in the world and “enjoying “ life…I’m sure my mom prayed for me. It’s not till after I had my first child that I came back to church occasionally. My husband too eventually joined me but we weren’t 100%. Then after Covid when churches opened up we both went back fully and committed and my husband even got baptized. His mom had been praying for him for an extremely long time. Now I pray for my brothers to come back to the faith. Nothing is impossible. This was a great video because I felt I was praying over my kids the same prayer and it was becoming stale. I love praying thru a scripture. Even tho my kids are still young it’s never to early to pray over them. God bless 🙏

Some relatives, think that you give birth to children, to live their lives, they plan everything for them, up to where to live what house to buy, what job to have, and then they take over the grandbabies. Well myself, I gave my children a life to live on their own, I gave them wisdom and wings, like my mom would do, and let them fly. I was there when they needed me, and used some tough love here and there, but they became wonderful people. They made themselves, I didn't live their life and didn't make them live mine. I trust in Jesus and taught my kids well with his guidance. ❤

Glad I seen this video. My heart had been aching because my kids have drifted away from the Lord. They are in their early 20’s now. We have different opinions about things and one of my sons gets offended over everything and holds grudges . It’s like walking on egg shells around him. No matter how impossible it looks, how hard it gets, how discouraged and disappointments that comes, or the barriers between us, I will look beyond my child and look to God and trust God to do what I can’t. Do not give up! God hears the cry of your heart. When you feel like giving up or think that it’s impossible, stop and praise God. Praise Him and thank Him that He is able! Nothing is impossible with God. I have 3 I am praying for. God is good.

we really thank you for this podcast. My husband and I homeschooled our four children to instill our faith into them, but when he died in an accident 5 1/2 years ago, everything changed. At first, my kids kept their faith, but slowly they walked away from it little by little. Now not one of my four kids goes to church and two of them may even be atheist. Wonderful podcast! Our children are not like the prodigal of the New Testament. They are successful in their chosen field, but not walking with God at all. I finally understood the verse "pray without ceasing". I don't think it means pray 24/7 which is impossible, but pray without giving up. I am determined not to ever give up praying for our two adult children.

Also, find other who will also pray for your children. When it's hard for you to keep going you will have others praying for your children.

I'm almost 40. My parents never apologized. It has shaped me in so many ways. My husband is almost 50 and his parents did not apologize either. So here we are, two broken people due to our parents lacking (not to put them down). But we do apologize to our children. It is not always easy but it is always necessary.

This blessed me more than you'll ever know. Listening while walking to my office, when I got there, I got on my knees poured my heart out to the Lord with a scriptual prayer for my son, Kenny; an answered prayer I had just this past Friday asking the Lord what His silence is telling me and to help me to see what I am not doing. I have three 30-something daughters all fallen away. One is a card-carrying atheist. I pray daily, sometimes hourly. I pray the Scriptures but not as often as I should although I have Ez 36:26-27 taped above my desk even as I type this and pray it often! But I love the idea of praying THROUGH the Scriptures, finding multiple verses that are apropos to the situation and keeping it new and fresh. Thank you for this!

I have three adult children and they all have the best hearts which they get from their dad. I was a stay at home mom and we attended church for a time but never really committed to it. My husband’s family all have wonderful hearts which I think comes from my wonderful mother-in-law. I am a nice person but I can see my lack of heart in raising my children. Dr. Lutzer’s comment about apologizing to your children is something that has been on my mind for a time. I don’t think of my children as lost but maybe it would help them in their struggles with life’s ups and downs. It’s a place to start.

Thank you for this program. My boys grew up loving the Lord but have grown cold. My heart is very sore but I know that our Redeemer lives and He is mighty to save. He will never let them go. They are His portion, His prized possession. ❤

I was told 28 years ago to pray the word of God over my children. I notice when they are in the darkest parts of life I remember this and pray the Scriptures over them. What a wonderful teaching.

I am Catholic, and I have never heard a priest from our Catholic Church teach parents how to pray for their children. Never ever thought of how we can pray scriptural prayers for our children, it's beautiful. Yes, there have been times when I too thought that God is not answering my prayer, so has my eldest boy, who has been out of a job for 8 yrs now. But, your statement of God is not indifferent was so meaningful and deep. I guess my son has in these last few years grown closer to our Lord and Saviour and, I'm happy. But he keeps asking why is God not answering my prayer for a job. It's difficult to explain.

Truly believe in Jesus and you have no worries about your family, you know your prayers are answered, because he said so. ❤

Thank you so much , my adult children have both made commitments to GOD both seem to fall away , my son especially struggles with believing that The Bible is true, He looks different with large piercing’s in his ears and nose with tattooed arms and has felt rejection from many churches and Christian people. He turns 50 yrs on the 12 of April this month, he has suffered rejection from his father ( who is an unbeliever ) for those 50 yrs , he is on a disability pension struggle with depression has often told me he has thought of ways of ending his life . I have a very strong faith in GOD I walk each step by faith . I used to pray scripture not sure why I stopped . But will start again now .

My mom prayed for all of her kids. A few of us came to the Lord before she passed, the one that most would think was the farthest away from God came to the Lord within a year after her passing.(Reality is, we are all equally far away from Him, apart from Christ) I pray the others will too🙏 It gives me so much hope that we may not even see it, but God is always working behind the scenes and we can still hope and trust the God is good no matter what.

Keep praying for them. Leave them in Gods hands. He will answer your prayers. However long it takes stay true to Jesus. I have 4 kiddos all older I pray same was as you. He dose answer. One family of my children are saved going to church. Love them no matter what. Keep praying 🙏

Hello! Christ is risen! (I am Greek Orthodox and for 40 days after Easter we greet each other with these words "Christ is risen" and the other person answers "He is truly risen")... Anyway, when you said that you asked for your father's blessings you reminded me of a saying we have in Greek :"Get your parents' blessing and go climb mountains"...meaning "you can do the most difficult things in life successfully as long as you get your parents' blessing".... Especially the mother's blessing. A mother's blessing is very important. Us, greek mothers bless our children when they go off to school, to the army, to university, to their jobs, to their marriages and other numerous occasions.. I always say to my kids :"Firstly, may the Virgin Mary bless you and then my blessings follow Hers".... God keep us all!!

It's been my experience that when I'm praying about situations with family members especially when I feel God is silent He's actually working behind the scenes so to speak in answer to my prayers. Sometimes it takes years cause I get in the way. So I've learned to add to my prayers God keep me in my own lane while you're dealing with them and give me courage and peace to follow Your direction. He does answer every time.

My son is 19, a couple years ago he gave his life to Jesus and was baptized. There is a lot of back and forth with him. Anger at me for talling about God, then he wants to talk about God. He was asking my sister questions. I have been a single mom since he was about 1 1/2. He has said a lot of stuff through his struggles. But last weekend things said I felt like something died inside of me the thought that he might be lost and fall away completely. I have done my best and without doubt imperfectly to teach my children sic ethey were young about God and how much he loves them. Listening to this, I need to make changes.
