Debating for America's Youth yes sir, in January I’m going to be running for PO for my first time. I’m a sophomore and I was wondering how I can increase my chances to be selected after I run for PO? What should I say in my candidacy speech.

@@dankio1018 Many people use the same phrase "Thank you. If I am a Presiding Officer I will run a fair, fast, and efficient chamber. I am well knowledged in rules of Congress. I would be honored if I was elected."

You have to fill out a form, make a motion, and give to the parliamentarian/ presiding officer

HOW DO YOU WRITE A PO SPEECH WHEN U RUN FOR THE PO POSITION WITH SOMEONE

For your PO speech, you should memorize a quick speech. Mine was "Thank you for the nomination. If I get the opportunity to serve as your presiding officer today I promise I will run a fast , fair, and efficient chamber. I have served as a PO on the National, state, local circuit and will ensure the chamber runs smoothly." I would just make some variation of that speech.

@@infernoman4870 It was a Taylor swift joke. I don't remember the specific joke. I always make a joke with my last name Fair and with the fast fair and efficient chamber sentence.
