when you dislike more things about yourself then like, its sometimes hard to like what you see in the mirror, i mean i like my eyes and hair, but i dont like to look at my face because of my acne

Katelin Ussery just dont concentrate on what you dont like. Every time you look in the mirror dont look at your acne (easier said than done and also you shouldnt be ashamed/embarrassed about it) but look at your eyes and hair and compliment yourself on either them or an accomplishment you have done

You're not lucky to have a supportive boyfriend, it's what you deserve. So many of us think it's luck to have someone who treats us right, but that's what a relationship should be. Just wanted to toss out and hope you share this with your followers since you have a lot of younger viewers.

I was just talking about this today. I hate when people point out my acne. I just hate it. And I can't even say anything because other people would think I'm rude "they are just trying to help you". But it's not true. Other people say how you could get rid of acne without even knowing what are they talking about! If you have clear skin how can you be useful to me? I hate it also because they usually "dispense knowledge" in crowded places and in conversation where there are other people. I just hate it. Thanks for everything you do. Love you ❤

I had the same experience yesterday too! Random people commenting on my skin and acne breakouts is just sad. They do not know how much effort it takes to prevent or reduce a breakdown, and that it doesn't help sometimes.

Was at a shoot at a popular salon in my city today and was overwhelmed by everyone's clear and near perfect skin, when I had a fresh and painful cystic acne breakout a couple of days back which looked painfully red. Had a moment where I was about to run out, but then I realised, my confidence is in my smile, it's in knowing the person I am, and that what I am worried about is superficial and that my confidence goes deeper than that! Thank you so much Em for being so vocally inspiring on this platform! I love you so much!

I’ve always been skinny (size 6) and I’ve had acne since I was 12. People always wanted to point both of these things to me and it would always put me down. Makeup has really given me my confidence back. People don’t stare at my marks anymore and random strangers don’t stop me in the street asking what’s wrong with my face. As for my weight, if someone points it out to me, I tell them that anything fits me and looks good on me so I love the way I look, that shuts them up 😄 I love the message you pass on. U really r an inspiration...i am 14 i get bullied in school for having acne and scars ...it's really hard for me to be confident about myself ...but after watching u i realised that everyone is beautiful in their own ways and ,yeah i have acne and scars all over but u know what we r all beautiful and haters gonna hate coz .....thats their job and no one in this planet is perfect,people dream to reach the moon because it is soo majestic and beautiful but they dont realise the moon also has it't imperfections ..... for the person reading this u are beautiful in ur own way #keeponrocking

I also suffer bad acne and we even beated up and teased countless at school, had serve acne and was overweight. Don't let negative people bring you down. It makes me sad so many women feel so unattractive and feel like need change themselves for others. Beauty will always come from the inside of your soul. No matter what others say also I think we all beautiful in our own unique way. Clay masks are amazing for sebum build up and drinking lot water that's what I did. I see dermatologists and took everything on the shelves. But honestly my acne only has just stopped since I now use natural products and gone vegan last year and I'm 29 now.

I don't know why people complain about their "natural selves" or other person's look without makeup. Personaly I think everyone should be confident about themselves and love how they are. Because if you don't like or love yourself, no one would do it either... Also, don't take It so seriously and look at other things or facts you have...My Pale Skin you are so pretty with or without makeup. Your eyes are so beautiful and your smile is so bright 💗 love you. I hope no one gets offended

Yeah, i agree. So many people look for the little things to hate on others. It's sad how the world can be so cruel and careless. Also, i feel like thats why so many suicide's are happening, and why the suicide rate keepa getting bigger. People should respect others, and appreciate them~^^

You are giving me confidence! I have so many issues about my looks. I am a Master Cosmologist and I have worn makeup to hide since 13. I do not want to wear makeup. Recently I tried to go bare on a recent cruise. My mom would not stop talking negatively about my makeup-less face.

I just wanted to say I just had a meltdown because I thought that i was "Ugly" or not "Good Enough" we all have down days - even you probably do Em!- it's absolutely nothing to be worried about because are insecurities are our best features! We just have to embrace them in the right way. When people say this to me I automatically feel bad for getting upset over my insecurities but everyone does even your favourite person ever! So just to mention I know that I can't change how you feel but I can say that your perfect ❤️️😊

My acne was so bad at one point that it resulted in me getting major anxiety which I still have. I still feel so uncomfortable talking to other people because I'm so scared they'll judge me or pass comments about my appearance. I could relate to your 'You look disgusting' video SO MUCH. My skin is very oily and dry, and I'm getting black heads from it. A couple of people pointed it out to me, I've tried everything to get rid of it. It’s not my skin that the problem, I have dark circles and I feel insecure about them 24/7. I’m that person who wears makeup but not major makeup, and when I take it off I feel like I look good and then sometimes I feel like I would look good if I didn’t have dark circles. I see so many people with literally no dark circles at all, and it makes me think so many other different things about myself. And I know comparing myself should be the last thing I do. But I just wanted to say this so people know they aren’t alone. And that sometimes it takes time to love yourself (which I have learned) but I’ve also learned to not overly put myself down. Just know YOU ONLY HAVE ONE LIFE , live it !

It's so weird and sad and amazing at the same time that i find you gorgeous af and i think it's ridicolous that someone like you has confidence issue, it would be normal for me since i'm ugly but definitely not for a beautiful girl like you. Same! I now even dislike makeup now. It itches and is in the way when i get moisture on my eyes because of the mask. If i go out, i wear mascara, rouge, tinted lipbalm and shape my brows.

My face is full of acne scars. I am very ashamed of them. Every time one scar starts to fade there will be another pimple appears. This make me lose confidence of myself especially when my own family members said I am ugly because of this problem. I admire your confidence of showing your face in front of camera. I never post selfies of myself as I will compare my selfies with my friends who post flawless selfies of themselves.

When I turned 11 or 12, I realized the world I was living in and I was somewhat overweight making me feel insecure. I later realized the digits on that scale didn’t matter. My deep Dutch voice didn’t matter. It was my personality. And all of my friends and family knew who I was, I stopped trying to *hang out* with the kids who had friends to throw around. Now here I am, 18 and I haven’t put on foundation, or eyeliner. My face is my face. I don’t care if someone doesn’t like the look of *my face.* They don’t have to look at it.

I have struggled with severe acne since I was 12 years old, I was so insecure about it I would not leave the house without foundation and concealer I would cry almost everyday. It’s so insane how I look back on my younger self. At 20 years old I’m left with scars, indents, sores and extreme redness but I am at a place where I can feel comfortable in my own skin. I don’t wear a drop of makeup anymore and If people stare, so what.
