Same here! At certain points I feel the imposter syndrome when achieving something, while I also feel myself being prideful with what I have. Its confusing.

I am a middle child and I had to perform to get attention and love. So eventually ended up believing that God too loves me only when I DO something. So what happened was I finally tried to 'earn' God's love and favour by 'performing' but became too prideful and self-righteous without my knowledge. I was prideful all along that i looked down on others that didn't ' do enough' for God and only I was was mature. Haha! Bad old days! I still struggle with that but God's been helping me to accept His love and not look at my love for Him rather His love for me which cannot be earned. Thanks for the video. I am still in the process of getting out of pride and self-righteousness so keep me in your prayers.

Those early years really do shape your belief systems and are deeply ingrained but bless God we are new creations in Christ and we can renew our minds, therefore transforming the way we think. Ah man, I can’t tell you the exact amount of times I seen myself acting in pride. It’s a struggle most of us share. But the fact you can see you’re struggling with it and even more want to change from it shows the LORD is working in you. You got this ! The struggle is evidence of your faith in Jesus !

I understand you, I struggle with jealousy, and I think we have this mindset that a Christian is supposed to be perfect and can't struggle with things such as jealousy, pride, lust.. And the list goes on.. It seems like its easier to say that we struggle with preaching the gospel or praying or reading the word, and that's why when it comes to the "big sins" we get kind of embarrassed to say them out loud. I personally didn't think I could struggle with this cuz I've never struggled with it ever in my life, but the devil will always try and find a way to make us fall, but with Christ we are victorious and can't be defeated. No matter what the devil tries to bring, we will overcome. And let us not be shy to speak up if we struggle with things as these, because fighting these alone will take much more time than if you told it to a fellow true christian brother or sister. I think it’s pride / selfishness to only mind our own affairs, I think the message of the video is rather that we should avoid selfishness and always thinking of ourselves and rather look to the interests of others as Christ did, to help them and serve them in humility ❤️
