@@demontan4535 I don't think he's that hard, but that's because spamming metal Qs generally make you win every clash. I actually didn't realise how helpful that stuff is 'till you use a heavy hitter. Design-wise though there could be a few edges roughed out.

My three main issues with this fight are: A: Hes almost impossible to hit because he keeps moving around B: The area around you is destroyed in a way that you could get stuck under stuff C: I keep flying off the island accidentally Edit: Here's a tip: Fight him a few times, it will become several times easier to fight him since you'll be more experienced. I had problems on my main save, but on the other 5 saves I've beaten him first try every time.

I forgot to turn off shaking, electric effect everywhere, it nighttime, IT'S RAINING, had to look around for 2 second to see that quick little bastard everytime it move, screw the destroyable ground, keep getting stuck

You have to track the jumps and dashes, I make a screen 360 turn to see where the voiceline is coming from then use my blast and a placed explosion, he isn't too hard to track but if you keep on missing eventually the pillars break and it becomes even easier, periodically you should hide behind walls for breathing time too, You only really need to get like 3 hits before every heal to outlive him, so if you're too focused on hp try to set that bar and grind

To be honest the issue with him was never him being unfair, just the fact that his second phase both lags AND makes him hard as hell to see. This, when mixed with his erratic movements make him hard to get shots on him. This wouldn't be such a big issue if it weren't for the fact that if you can't at least sort of consistently damage him, he will heal himself, which could Essentially lock you in a bad spot.

If you die while he is in the second phase there is a bug where his lighting aura will stay and makes him more annoying to fight. Plus if you get into the second phase he will now have 2 auras.

Another problem is that if the fight stretches on, the floor will get destroyed, and the thinner floor won't get destroyed causing you to get stuck under it.

Honestly I had only one problem during the entirety of the lord elius boss fight The terrain It broke and regenerated in such weird ways that my energy was going out,my attacks such as spear throws were being blocked due to terrain regeneration and Sometimes I got COMPLETELY stuck underground while elius is pulling out the 2 million arrows out of- you know what.

Yep, the terraforming feature is nice and adds to the immersion, but it sucks for fighting bosses. I (a Berserker) had and still have many difficulties with him due to how poorly the terrain functions. For all bosses (except Shura and Iris) this is annoying and I think it should be disabled during boss battles.

keep in mind that, no matter how many guides you watch, practice is always and always will be the better option for getting better at a boss. remember that these are bosses, SUPPOSED to be difficult, and you're expected to die. luckily at this stage in the game you have less than 1000 galleons usually so you don't lose any money, so go wild!! and also, if you keep failing, you can quickly go back to cirrus island to upgrade your loot in case you forgot before starting that part of the story. and also, even if you DO have >1000 galleons, making the money back is very easy with cargo runs. TL;DR: all bosses are SUPPOSED to be difficult, just fight them over and over again. upgrade your loot. if you lose money because you die with over 1000 galleons, you can make the money back with cargo runs.

Thanks for this guide! I know it'll help a lot of people! Though one thing I've heard about fighting, that I've done for ages with ranged moves, is to stop using shift lock to hit your ranged moves better. Though it's probably just preference.

I have a few things to add. The arrow storm has a different hit box than the animation. If there isn’t anything between you and him, you can bet that the hit box is where you’re at right now. So do a high jump and fire a spell or something at him. If he catches you in the air with the arrow storm, don’t worry, that hit box is still gonna be in the air. So just fall down and you won’t get hit. The arrows hit box, however, does block some spells. So if he shoots around himself, use a gun or charge your energy. The hit box does get bigger in the second phase but not big enough to hit a high jump The dash attack’s second hit won’t hit you in high jump height. It still has the sphere aoe around where he lands but he can’t hit you in the air. So if you care less about your health, tank the first hit(or block it), and do a high jump and aim below you. This doesn’t work in the second phase because of how he shoots a spell instead of a slam.

Calvus honestly isn’t that difficult. He is ludicrously easy once you get the hang of his abilities. The main trick is to interrupt his charging attacks so they don’t just decimate your HP, and immediately get ready to block since hitting him will cause him to use the spell prematurely.

The funny part about King calvus is that he’s easy as hell soon as you learn which attacks to parry, when you have an opening to attack, etc. He goes from a boss that gives you pain by making feel as you can’t beat him, to a boss that gives you pain by not giving you a drop even after the 30th time you killed him.

King calvus is actually probably the easiest boss once you learn his patterns (due to him actually having punishable attacks and actual attack patterns, unlike elius who randomly decides whether or not he’s gonna let you hit him)

Hey Eclipse, I think you should give Isle a try. As a long time viewer, I think you'd really enjoy it. It's a story oriented 'escape' survival game with many different endings. While it might seem confusing at first, it's a lot of fun with friends to try to solve the mysteries on the island while encountering all kinds of crazy stuff.

Now THIS is a boss fight to be reckoned with. Yes it’s hella hard, but besides that the only real problem is the floor. The boss fight let me discover new mechanics and understand the timings of the game so much better. Had a blast fighting and ultimately beating him.

@@niturius17272 We get it, the game isn't all that great for how you play. But it is good for other people and everything about it (except for optimization) is fine. I like the terrain breaking, it makes sense. Really the only issue with the bosses that't objective is that they completely ignore difficulty curves.

This and the “final boss” (for the moment) are very frustrating to fight for the first several times while going in blind. Only difference is there is a pseudo-cheese with the last boss, while Elius you gotta fight (mostly) fair n square. Also if you’re still struggling with melee just use your guns / bows. The bow’s rapid fire is VERY good against him, especially at punishing his arrow storm, just be sure to stock up on ammo. Quick side note and minor spoiler: for the last boss his one shot can be interrupted by any direct damage so just T jump and hit him. You can also just leave the room to avoid pretty much everything (leave the room and go left or right at the end of the hall to avoid his one shot entirely) I’d imagine eclipse will make a more in depth vid down the line so maybe look out for that too.

@@BaldSun needing to rely on range for pretty much every strong enemy in the game is a huge issue imo. The NPCs deal equally high range and melee dps when they really shouldn’t ( Elius is an exception because his design is a Jack-of-all-trades type fighter ). Calvus has no real reason to use his trident. It’s a status symbol more than a weapon and barely even has a melee move since he just stabs you then shoots you with magic anyway. As for normal strong enemies… just try to even lay a finger on a high level pirate captain without getting mauled by him, his second, and 8 random henchmen without your clothes immediately getting folded with you still in them.

Destroys the terrain not allowing you to move properly, teleports around, no sound queues for any moves besides the arrows, vfx lagging you, PREDICTS hella accurately where you might dash to, rain obstructing your view of him, spams heals... other people better take note, this is 100% what a boss should be frfr

I teamed up with a random and we were able to take down Elius, I was an acid conjurer, and he was some kind of mage. we died a few times, and we didn't get a drop, but we did beat him, and I did friend the guy after that.

something no one seems to have mentioned, if ur using any fighting style the fight becomes even easier, fuctions in a similar u would with weapons, but ur first move crash means u can instantly get to elius after he does his mandatory dashes, damage him on impact and m1 him, saving a lot more time

Here is a easy way to beat him. 1. Make sure to destroy all the pillar so that Elius cannot standing on top of them. 2. Dashing all the time, don't try to attack him why he's using his spear, wait for him to switch to his bow and instantly dash to toward him and hold your m1 to spam m1 3. Keep repeating till he's dead Good luck y'all.

Two things that got me through the fight: 1: build prep: only use power and defense armor, substats are useless at level 50 so don’t bother with them. Iron armor is obtainable at cirrus island and you’re free to go back there during the Elius fight if you can’t handle him without it. 2: never panic: If you can’t see Elius, immediately dodge or block. Don’t try to look for him or attack wildly. Instead wait and see where his attack comes from.

Fun fact:when he uses the spear move you can just go to him and stand super close to him and he won't shoot the spears until you back away The best way I cheesed him

thank you very much for the advice! i'm not a new player by any means, but i have always been astronomically horrific at combat, so this boss has been an absolute nightmare for me TwT nevertheless, i won't give up! i do want to get better, after all, and i like this game too much to quit it here do wish me luck, though, because i would not enjoy being stuck on this fight for a month xD update: i got him to around 75 hp, but died before i could finish the job. very unfortunate, haha update 2: i cheesed him. by accident. he glitched after i died to him twice and stayed in the same spot, not doing anything. i just,, Q-ed him to death. i am still laughing, it was ridiculous 😂

My main problem is that I use fire or magma magic on almost all my slots, it’s always raining on the island, elija uses lightning magic. You can probably see my point here

i just spent an entire night boxing the hell out of this guy just find this video. i have concluded that this game is very fun (ps just using boxing to get thermo fist cause i have fire and its cool im gonna reset before lvl 80 and get back conjurer build)

I am warrior with lvl 60 , killed Elios 5 min ago. Well , the best way to kill him is using a bow/claws/items with dif boost.

my only problem was the tiles respawning above my head. other than that this dude's light work just set your blast to lowest explosion and size for most damage

I recommend using dual swords, at the start use use q then e, only attacking him when he uses the arrow move just spam skills also upgrade and get enchantment strong
