May have already been mentioned, but there’s a Ghost in Arcade Quest/Super Ghost Battle, that’s designed to help train against Drag wr2/heat smash/d2 spam. Basically all he does is wr2 & heat smash, unless you’re standing guarding he’ll use d2. His name is Animator_YT I’m pretty sure. Great practice.

I think there should be a guide on importance of dickjabs. Recently I found out it works wonders with frame traps. Most guides never mentions this but when you do a frame trap i.e. a move with +6 on block, if the next move you do is blocked you end up being interupted and your pressure is gone. Instead you do a dickjab on frametrap to reset the turn order and continue pressure since dickjab is + on hit and only 10 frames. You can see this in many high level sets. It's beyond me why it's never mentioned... like nobody ever mentions this in their guides. It's definately not something obvious.

He is busted and rightfully should have his damage nerf. Drag wins games in two interactions. Land a Df2 from a side step using the best movement speed in the game. Take the guy to the wall with the best wall carry in the game and on the oki mix up if the opponent ducks because they’re afraid of the crazy new lows that take 50% health in 3 hits then you kill them with a i14 mid that leads into the best wall combo in the game.
@Abu-ir8vt6 ай бұрын
@@hyunchong02 if youre talking about busted damage then you must know about jack 8 crazy dmg too. one of dragunov weakness is he lack good and fast homing mid moves. i think for now drag's damage and wallcarry is his only strong point, and i dont know what you mean by movement speed but if you're talking about best movement then it belongs to either lili/azucena and dont forget even if he has a new low its -15 on block its risky but rewarding. if u cant handle his mix up then consider hitting him with a dick jab/crouch jab or do a sidestep right

@@Abu-ir8vt Some female models may have better lateral evasion due to smaller hitboxes, but drag has the best has the best back dash in the game. drag's wall combo needs to get nerfed and so does db 3+4 and FC 1, 4. FC 1,4 is low risk at -13, but gives WAY too much advantage. DB 3+4 can't be stepped at +5 or greater and basically can't be whiffed with a range of 2.8; -15 can't even be punished well by some characters(poor steve). Make it crumple or -19 and let it make it more steppable, because homing at +5 is unreasonable when Drag is ALWAYS +5 or more.

@@hyunchong02 if youre only talking about drag wall combo then no its not busted, but if you get wall throw and the wall combo then yes, it is op. db34 only track ssl but it does not track SSR how do i know? because i lab him and the FC df1,4 is not -13 if u got the 4 it means that that your fc df1 hit somebody and it is -13 if your df1 got blocked, which is easy to punish and i dont know about giving him advantage. if someone is at -13 then it cleary means that hes on disadvantage. and db34 is steppable just do sidestep right and continue to sidewalk
@hyunchong026 ай бұрын
@@Abu-ir8vt yeah I’m talking about the throw combo, it makes ducking dragunov at the wall an instant loss. Db 3+4 can’t be stepped if Drag is +5 or greater which is what makes it busted, you just loop it into itself and at +7 your interrupt option has to be i12 or faster which isnt substantial enough to justify the risk of the Drag just staying within his frame advantage for follow up. Yeah, I know the follow up for 4 doesn’t come out if blocked, but that’s just semantics, you’re always gonna buffer the 4 anyways making the whole thing effectively -13 and on hit gives +7 advantage into an unsteppable low slide or steppable mid axe kick mix up making it a pseudo hellsweep-like vortex at only -13 on block.

He is so cool, very fun, and very honest high risk high reward when you know the matchup. He is very aggressive the way they wanted T8 to play. Also some things, early in t7 grabs don't have tracking, now in t8 grabs are homing, so many drags use grabs for counter sidestep. Another thing in t8 is cheap system, in t7 you can take on block drags hits, and don't have damage for it, now ff3 for example did damage on block equal df1 on hit. Drag have 14 frame punisher in t7 he doesn't have it, his damage around wall become big, he had many mids but than he use low, he lost his initiative, now he has +frame lows, which allow press he more, his mid homing make little stronger, has guarantee on contrhit, he had poor hitbox his mids, now his b4 hit grounded, so many weakness then he has in t7, is dissapear. I agree the universal changes do help him, he has good throws and now they track. The better damage on walls and on CH, liked DF3+4 and DB3+4 guaranteeing stomp is just nice. Higher risk gives higher reward. The buggy stuff for sure needs to go, like the sneak 4 guarantee after certain combos, and b4 after the throw. He is still very counterable and short range so that makes me just wonder if this is early game hate and his popularity will die down as time goes on

Two new lows that may be the best in the game. DB 3+4 has too much range and does 25 damage, so what if it is -15. By the time the opponent starts predicting and blocking it, you probably already landed 4 and got 100 damage and now Drag has conditioned you to duck more and land the highest wall combo damage in the game from an i14 mid. FC 1,4 is basically zero risk at -13 and on hit goes into an interruptible and unsteppable slide for 46 damage.

So if I throw DB3+4, and it hits, I get 25 damage and +7. That’s great, but to be launch punishable, meaning I’m probably gonna take 60-110 damage if my opponent is sharp, have a range someone can back dash out of, and it has 0 evasive properties, sounds pretty okay to me personally. The slide setup after FC 1,4 is really neat, never thought of that, but slide is -6 on hit. Sure you got 46 damage if all that lands, but you just lost your turn too, and risked getting punished in twice in the process

@@orangenoun7148 db 3+4 doesn’t whiff, it has better range than d2 since drag has the longest legs in the game and if drag has enough +frames(which he usually does) it can’t be stepped. If Im Drag, I’m throwing that shit all day, just do the math. What is your block % for fast unseeable lows? If it’s above 25-33% and then congrats you may punish drag for more he hits you, but with a rate that high you probably duck too much and will get hit by many of Drag’s mid which are some of the best in the game. Also the slide is now -0 on hit, which is perfect for Drag since his movement is the best in the game. Drag’s busted I know the match up well from a buddy I play with daily and it’s really apparent to me the Drag’s I see even past Fujin were carried their by Drag’s high damage output since most are lacking in their fundamentals compared to others of the same rank.

the b4 is not guaranteed anymore after the throw!

The funny thing about King is that he has a low win rate

Win rate is such a bad statistic Especially in fgc It should be win rates in Tekken god + minimum
