Yes. The standard on the remake feels like professional on the original. I've completed the original 10 plus times and I was unable to play this on hard-core. I ran out of ammo completely at the cabin and it wasn't possible to continue. Standard is a much better experience, but they did make it much more difficult.

@@evo2500 Depends on the individual. I've been gaming for years and you can play it in different variations. A good time killer and interactive source of entertainment. Oh and I'm about 36 hours in. It's worth it to me so far

@cream640 paying full price for a roughly 24 hour game is very rare these days, so it makes the game look good. And also resident evil games are known for being extremely replayable, and this remake has tons of unlockables and strategies. Personally I'd say it's well worth the full price. Edit: I'm a dumbass and misunderstood your comment 💀

On professional dif you can’t spam the parry button you have to time the parry like it’s fucking elden ring

What I learned is using grenades when he’s stunned effects him and Every once in a while he’ll jump up on that cliff just run by a pillar and take cover then shoot him with shotgun/magnum shots once those are all out use ur suppresser on him and that should do the job hope this helps anyone

Are yall knifing him? In the og game it would deal bonus damage idk if that's the case but I beat him first try with my knife on standard

Definitely does extra damage. I also beat him in the last phase rather quickly by mostly knifing (it's still preferable to shoot once in a while to stagger if possible)

I wanted to but my knife had barely any health at that point. Had to use my Striker instead.
