It's reassuring to hear from somebody like you that target panic never goes completely away. I have occasional "flare ups" and this series of videos have been a great reminder of how to deal with them

What a great series. I'm not dealing with Target panic at the moment but I learned a ton about how to do better with my shot from this series anyway

I have been struggling with target panic for over 20 years. I have overcome it to a certain degree at times, but I still see it re-emerging from time to time. I see it coming on when I can't get the pin on the spot I want to hit. It's like my bow refuses to move when I'm close to the center. Your advice is what I have put into practice in the past and it works! I am now trying a heavier trigger release, and in just one session I am seeing improvement. It's really just a matter of reprogramming the mind to execute the shot in a different manner. This is the best video series I have ever seen on this matter. Thanks for the help.

Thank you Levi, I have exactly all the panic you talk about in this series. It's almost like test panic, in the stand or backyard I'm steady and accurate but I get in a comp situation I shake so bad my arrow falls out of my rest and takes almost half my shots to calm down. Thank you for all this information

Amazing video series. Target panic can become so bad that it can and will completely depress you to the point of fearing to shoot. It is good to know that your not alone and in company with some of the best in the world when it comes to target panic. I went thru a horrible stage of it for many years (shooting for 40 plus yrs) and it is a tough thing to break... Awesome tips and advice in the series... 👍

No one has ever explained it like it really is. Ive been shooting well in the beginning punching the trigger. Now i have target panic and trying to work through it. Ive always said i need a trigger release with a long movement before it fires. And Levi confirmed it for me. Hes my favorite archer. Thanks Levi.

Fantastic videos man. I’m a self taught bow hunter that started watching for target panic tips, and learned that I’ve been punching my release with bad form for basically my entire bow hunting life! Time to change things and up and start practicing correctly, starting tonight. Thanks man

Nice set of videos. I enjoyed them. I just wish I saw them a couple of weeks ago, but I am coming away with some great tips. I had target panic and thought I was done shooting my bow. I didn't know this was my problem. I watched a video Chris Bee put up about target panic, and I was shocked to see everything he said about panic I was suffering from. I followed his plan and was happy to say it worked for me. From the very first day of doing the plan, I had all my basic archery skills come back, form, breathing, focus, etc. The plan is simple. Day 1, 50 arrows 3 yards from the target for 3 days always shooting center no panic after 3 days if so stay at 3 yards. Then move up to 5 yards, same thing 3 days 50 arrows a day. And so on goes to 8 yards, then 10 yards, then 15 yards, and finally 20 yards. Don't cheat, and if you screw up and panic is still there start over. This plan worked great for me and can shoot from 30, 40+ yards, and no more panic or punching the trigger, just nice clean shots. And now, to add in the tips you have said, I can't wait to get out and shoot again.

I've been shooting a bow for many years and never had problems. Recent change a change to stronger glasses left struggling to see through my peep. After trying many things to overcome this I actually developed a really bad habit of target panic. Removing my peep and using the ideas in this series has got me back on track.....THANK YOU!!!!

The same methods I used to cure my TP some years ago. If only these video lessons from Levi were available back then, it would have saved me many months of anxiety, anguish & frustration. Archers shooting hot set release aid triggers are a common sight, & it usually leads to disaster. Hinge release aids are the go.

When I trained my oldest son through his problems with punching his index release the first thing I did was chuck the Scott hair trigger release and bought him a Carter with a heavy spring then worked at 5 yards on a blank bale with his eyes closed and let him feel the bow go off without the influence of aiming at all for at least a month. When he was more comfortable and I could see him relax into the shot we introduced a large spot to shoot at the incrementally over time got him shooting at smaller targets. If he ever digressed I brought him back to the previous point til his target panic was gone.

I use a hair trigger with my thumb release and I have target panic I found it works best because after years of practice I learned to just rest my thumb on the trigger and use back tension to fire instead of pulling with my thumb to fire. I was frustrated for years trying to perfect this, but one day it just clicked and now I don't feel anxiety at any yardage. It was a long and grueling process getting comfortable with a bow again though
