Other advices for professional S+ : 1. Through grenades into the windows hit as many ganados as you can. You don't need them in close combat if you have a shotgun and you want to pass the level as fast as you can, so maximize your damage this way. 2. Stairs tactic is 100% right. 3. But when Louis tells you to go up DO NOT GO UPSTAIRS. Just stay on the first floor. Ganados will jump to you one by one from the second floor and it's easy to kill them mostly with a pistol. Then when the bull guy spawns, let him enter the first floor, double flash him, you win, you're perfect. It's better to collect all the stuff upstairs initially if you want

My suggestion is that if you're running out of resources and can't manage to kill the bull guy, just use the ladder method. When he's on top you drop down. When he dropped down, you climb up. And kill or stun enemy that's blocking your way. The cutscene will still appear after around 3 minutes

I think the grabs hurt Leon because the enemy is strangling him. And I'm thinking they must have some slightly enhanced strength. Just fighting them off can probably be draining.

Yeah, it’s crazy how useful flashbangs are in RE4 Remake. I never used them in the original game, but I think flashbangs are one of the most important weapons in R4make. Flashbangs immediately bring down El Gigante when his plaga is exposed, allowing you to knife it without having to blow all your ammo to get him on his knees. 3 flashbangs and El Gigante dies pretty fast. Same thing with the Savage Mutt: you can easily kill it (without taking damage) with 2 flashbangs, assuming you already cleared the area of villagers beforehand. I also used flashbangs to great effect on Chapter 15, when you’re trying to get past Saddler’s army to his stronghold, where Ashley and Luis’ laboratory are. I used flashbangs on my Professional S+ run to run past all the enemies and flip the switches to the gate, as well as later when you get back outside and have to run past Novistadors, Brutes with bolt guns and other enemies to reposition the turret so you can get to the stronghold entrance. When you’re in a time-crunch on Professional and you cannot waste time dealing with every enemy in the area, being able to craft flashbangs comes in really clutch.

Finished my s+ run today 4:54h with 14 saves... Felt so bad the entire run through. There are so many, Many cheap sections... During the chopper sequence (the first) I went into the house, cleared it went with my back into the corner to fend of the enemies through the door and windows... Got grabbed from behind... Checked every corner before going through a door, no enemies left, as soon as I turned to the door: tripple wombocombo with a knife from a villager... That shit went throughout the entire run...

This is a great guide and in response to the comment you made about how the enemies grab you I have noticed in my pro play through the village is significantly harder than castle (im currently in this section) because there are far more enemies in the village that can do that grab attack vs the castle which has maybe 1 or 2 people without weapons in there hands.

Lol I grew up playing res 4 so when I got the remake I naturally decided I wanted to play on professional 😝 lol i do love the challenge but I was so stuck on this part ! After watching your video, I sold my fully upgraded punisher, bought the flash recipe , upgraded my red9, and went to WORK. Beat it in one try with this strategy 😉 🎉

I find that boarding that window in front of the stairs is best cause it gives you a lot of room in the lower floor itself to manuever without the concern someone will pop up behind you. You can then stand in front of that boarded window shooting the ganados that spawn and if they start closing in you move to the stairs, like you are doing in this video, essentialy you have 2x more room to fight than if you board one of the frontal windows. And it is better to loot upstairs at the beggining of the fight, the first wave of enemies is set, you won't get swamped if you take a lil bit extra time looting, and that is also another reason why boarding the window close to the stairs is best, you can safetly move upstair and downstair without much risk of meeting a ganado mimdway.

Pretty clean. Being on console or having slow sensitivity makes this so much harder honestly. In RE4 the time you spend trying to adjust aim is usually what gets you hit or killed. Underestimating how much time you have to ADS, find the target and get the shots in that will hopefully (not likely) give you stagger is the killer especially in this encounter where there is always another enemy ready to grab you, toss an axe at your head or come through like a whirlwind with a machete. I'd suggest having a higher sensitivity in RE4. Why are you playing professional without armor ashley and all the stuff you get from beating hardcore though? To my knowledge you don't get anything extra from doing new game professional barebones outside of personal achievement.

I spend more time trying to clear the cabin that the entire professional playthrough . such a massivel difficulty spike for no reason

5:22 I absolutely agree that taking health from the player for being grabbed goes counter to the trade off of using your knife. I find it's unfair and cheesy to drain two resources from you simultaneously. Ideally, you'd be faced with a choice: either take damage by mashing the button to get the enemy causing damage to you away, or use a large chunk of knife ammo to prevent it. The fact that getting grabbed is so easy if you don't see the telegraph (which considering the enemy animations are designed deliberately to trip you up, is pretty easy,) it feels cheesy to drain your health as punishment when the punishment should come from mismanaging your knife ammo or from wanting to prevent using your knife for more offensive capabilities.

When you get grabbed from the front and the enemy starts chokin the crap outta you i understand why that damages you but I with you when they grab you from behind. They're just holding your arms back that doesn't seem like it should hurt you nearly as much as it does or at all

Just beat the cabin on professional s+ new games. It was really hard , took me a couple hours worth of tries.

Ok so just a helping guide that worked for me on S rank 1.Board up first single window And push drawer in front of left window And grab everything so you don’t have to grab it later Fight them on the stairs I let them come in fully so I could get all the equipment they drop Once they drop the planks Pick them up and board up the windows (obviously) Once they put the ladders up Ignore Louis and stay downstairs And wait on the Brute Once the brute comes hit him with everything you got Keep moving Shotguns and the smg are great when you get crowded

I just finished this part in Hardcore and I suuuuffered lmao. For starters, this is my first play through (I saw my bro play prior) but since I am a OG RE4 veteran, I figured Hardcore was the only way I can respectfully play this first run. But bro… upon getting to this point, all I had on my was a sentinel nine with 23 bullets, a first aid spray that I HAD to purchase prior, a yellow herb, 3 L resources with no gunpowder and my health wheel was at 40% to top it off. I died SO. MANY. TIMES. I literally memorized my entire routine, and I always hoped I’d get some shotgun shells for the bull at the end. My reflexes and battle iq evolved as I was struggling so much. I was holding back from upgrading my shotgun and buying the flash grenade recipe since the riot gun comes out in the next chapter and the flash grenade discount does too, but I had no choice but to upgrade my gear. Once I did that, I think I finally made it after 3 more tries. But it was luck, I depended on initially getting some shotgun rounds or some S resource and only using my shotgun for the bull, it was insane but I finally did it. Then the bella sisters killed me, but I killed them on the third try lol. Its always bad luck, I either miss my parry or I dodge unnecessarily and get chainsawed while crouching. This game is madness, I can’t even imagine professional on ps5

Staying on the stairs is a good tactic. But I never seem to have the luxury of having that many grenades and flash grenades. One thing I would add is to shoot the barrel outside the window at the base of the stairs as soon as possible. Kills at least 2 or 3 cultists with one bullet.

I used the big guy against smaller guys with his spin move. Then picked off guys that kept dropping in from upstairs

FYI you an actually go up the first set of stairs and hide behind the pillar without the enemies climbing up the ladder, just don't go up the second set of stairs. I had did this when I only had 17 pistol bullets to do the whole cabin survival, I had 0 of any other ammo.

I was on this part for 2 hours so I got sick of it and went on KZfaq to see what I was doing wrong and after watching this I did it my first and becuase I thank you becuase I nearly ripped my hair out doing this

I've found that kicking a stunned cow dude against a wall will give me the chance to follow up with a stab. The way it was at 6:05 was the right spot. Not sure if wou get an insta-kill on pro, but for sure you can get it on hardcore.

The more I watch Pro mode, the more I'm convinced that I don't wanna do it. Hardcore looks like a way more fun experience to me, since it's harder than Standard (which is a little too easy imo), has the price modifiers of Pro, all while not asking the (average) player to cheese to get S+, like having to use AI manipulation or bonus items. And it also occurred to me how much I take MnK for granted. It seems way easier to snag head/limb shots than on controller, especially in CQC like this.

Technically they are not grabbing you, they're chocking you, that's why the health bar goes down.

I tried this on professional but I had to reload and reset the difficulty to normal. Even on easy it's a difficult and unfamiliar challenge.

From playing this and just about every tip I've read about it it seems like this part is damn near impossible without flashbangs. I never much used them in the original RE4 so I didn't figure they were all that important. Man, oh man, was I wrong. First playthrough ever, on Hardcore, and this part killed me 17 times. More than any other Chapter. Mainly because I had zero resources and always started it at half health so I just got lucky with green herb drops from the enemies eventually. Made me rage quit the game for a day almost lol.

I’m only on standard difficulty, but I’m having trouble here. I only have 2 shotgun bullets and about 10 rifle bullets and 1 grenade, but quite a few handgun bullets. It sounds like I have a lot, but I reallllly don’t. The rifle ammunition is doing no good, as everything is in too close proximity. And only having two shotgun bullets is realllly making me struggle here. I didn’t run through all the enemies like you did to get to the cabin. I’ve killed every single possible thing I could in this game, except for the area where I eventually found out that the enemies were just respawning. Am I screwed? I mean, I’ve beaten Evil Within 1 and 2 on their hardest difficulty, so idk why I’m struggling so much lol. I just came from playing multiple souls likes and I keep wanting to slice and dice enemies with a sword, which I don’t have lol.

I just have to say I’ve been stuck here for days now on Standard difficulty. These videos show many rounds of shotgun ammo, grenades, etc., but I entered this cabin with only handgun ammo, and they never drop shotgun ammo, nor do I find additional grenades. I’ve struggled trying to do it with only handgun. I’m terribly frustrated. If this is what it’s like so early in the game, I’m not optimistic of finishing.

Standard mode is already the equivalent of professional mode of the original I don't even want to try hardcore mode wish this game had an actual normal/standard because assisted mode is too easy it's like the modes of this remake go from easy to hard and extremely hard.

I’m getting really annoyed I’ve been trying to do this for a day and the game is really screwing me in just not getting any heals when I need them and I’m doing the strat but I can’t even make it to bull

I've been trying this goddamned cabin fight for 5 hours now. the game gave me ZERO ammo or resources for the hour before it almost so i'm going into it with literally nothing but 12 handgun bullets. During the fight i get basically nothing but handgun ammo in 80% of the runs and one green herb. What the heck is this....who can do this fight with a handgun and one herb? EDIT: I beat it in 31 tries. This was a terribly unfun and poorly balanced fight. I finally managed to get ok rng and got an extra grenade and got 3 shotgun shells and simply less ganados poured in. They REALLY need to rebalance a lot of the item drops on professional. The rng is ALL over the place. Sometimes it's raining ammo when you have nothing to do with it and then you'll play for hours and get almost nothing in some of the hardest parts.
