Just to point out about the infant god being, Yayoi mentioned she was in no harm. The big rule that being goes by is that they don’t harm children. All the harm she got was from the baby ghosts. So, the only person who was in danger was Keitaro since he wasn’t a child.

Well the god was corrupted did you forget that part? That's why the baby souls were corrupted and it was actively trying to kill them both.

@@grimsgraveyard3598 even then, they still followed that rule. Later on in the season, the god got physically attacked by that giant orb spirit, but it didn’t fight back because it sounded like a baby.
