How to Beat the Owlbear in Baldur's Gate 3 (HONOR MODE)

In today's Baldur's Gate 3 video, I show you how to beat the owlbear boss fight on honor mode without any cheap tricks. I did this at level 4, but if you're worried you can always wait until level 5 for a huge damage boost for most classes.

nice summary....short, insightful and honest! that coat weapon mistake.....still make it now and am on my 8th playthrough....good work!

Thank you!! And haha yeah the amount of times I've done it is embarrassing and I noticed right away but it's like well this is honor mode so it's not like I can re-record for the tutorial's sake. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment!

In my latest run (after patch 6) the owlbear cub is still hostile after defeating the mother and the mate. Are you able to confirm if you are having this issue? The cutscene where the cub eats its mom never triggers and it just keeps attacking. I'm afraid this means I cannot recruit it later in the goblin camp...

Uh oh, I haven't had that issue so I'm not able to confirm. Hopefully you're still able to recruit it!

Can't u just use non lethal attacks on the cub and knock it out?

@@metalfyregaming2468 It's counting as defeat unit so little owl bear will gone for ever if you knock him out

Do you know if it's possible to silence mother owlbear before she calls her mate, so as that she can't call for him?

That's a great question! I'm not entirely sure. In theory it makes sense that that would be able to work, but I have a suspicion it's hard-coded to happen regardless

@@thealpinedm As it turns out. Yes, you can silence her from calling her mate. Makes the fight a lot easier ;) If you do it from stealth, it also surprises her, which makes it even easier
