I have come across lots of videos on KZfaq where caregivers talk about their negative experiences in the work place. They basically unveil some untold truths about what they encountered working as caregivers some negative stuff such as violence, bullying , and sometimes burn out to the extent that some had to quit working as care assistants, I am not here to criticize anyone of them of course I definitely respect their choices, I see where they are coming from and I am not here to judge anyone ok. You will basically agree with me that no two workplaces are the same, people are different and so experiences will surely differ.
But this video is directed to those of you who would love to give caregiving job a try,

I would really love it if you can make more videos on this topic so that you can cover more areas in this sector, topics like what your typical work day in like and many more stuffs we need to know as you couldnt have covered all of them on this single video. Thank you for your response Heleric. I had another question at 5:30 in your video you mentioned doing a 4 month training. Is that with a school or at a job where you have applied? Can you recommend a school or where I can be educated for healthcare? I am currently learning French. I know some German and Italian but I am not fluent yet. Can you please direct me where to go for information in regards to educating myself for becoming a health care provider in Switzerland? I really appreciate your help. Kind regards Kathy

Yes you do, you have language centres in every country where your language levels can be accessed.

Came across you’re channel, a new sub and here to learn coz am wanting to relocate to Switzerland. One thing I learnt is one has to study a foreign language. Heleric, does it mean that if I want to come and be a care giver in Swiss .. that I should not bother studying a care giver course in my home country? (My plan was to do a 4 month course back home before relocating) Am torn between which language to study? Italian, French and German🤔 Thank you for the good work you’re doing.

Thanks for subscribing Sata3867, it is not mandatory to have a certificate in the health sector, but if you do, that will be a plus for you.All that would be required from you it the 4 months certificate caregiving course.

And for the language to learn , that is a choice you have to make, but l can give you a clue.German is the language mostly spoken here, followed by french. The minority of the population speak the Italian language.

You can still be employed by international organisation like world health organisation, the red cross society, etc and by organisations in big cities. You could find some few jobs where you dont have so much contact with the locals rather you are in contact with tourists and foreigners.

For you to easily get a job you should try and learn one of the official languages. You would still get an english speaking opportunity to work as a midwife but it is not common.
