Hello Sir. Will these steps be a good decision? BDS - MS Health Informatics - Preceptorship/Shadowing in U.S - Give INBDE . Will I get interview calls?

Hello doc! You steps are legitimate and a good choice of course as well. The interview calls occur on the basis of your INBDE score and your performance in community volunteer activities along with your interest in Dentistry depicted by your approach to work in the field as a shadow. So in your route I do not see any hurdles. You should be good doc!

Hello, they both will be accounted for however University GPA is worth more in evaluation

I would always recommend university transcripts as all institutions accept university level transcripts for sure and it is considered a more authentic proof of marks.

Yes masters degrees do require GRE for Canada

U didnt mention bench test taken by universities to check dentist's clinical skills?

You are absolutely right, interviews and bench tests are required by universities to help us be accepted into their programs. It should take place between step 8 and 9 of the video. We did not mention it in the video due to the constantly changing nature of those requirements. However, you are absolutely right it must exist in the process. Do we need to be registered licensed dentist in our home country to apply for DDS in USA?

Yes so a portion of the application for DDS in USA is a license that you need to have in your home country. It is along with many other requirements such as BDS documents and mark-sheets and TOEFL scores and more.

You are very welcome doctor. So that option is something I would choose the options the states that attract you the most but I doubt it will affect your application at all. This is because we must send our INBDE SCORE to the ADEA CAAPID portal later on and they will forward the score to the various Universities which is the true submission of your scores. Not the one we select initially in dentpin.

Also if we did not get the degree certificate yet from our university ,is the provisionals are enough? for ECE evaluation or we need eligibility form from the university? And , can you also please tell what are the documents we need before we leave the home country? please do reply, thank you ! waiting for kind replies.

Hi I have 2 backlogs in final year which i cleared. Is it gonna affect me with the admission in dds in the United States. If yes, how can I improve my profile? Will you please guide me?

Hello doctor, yes for USA’s admissions, they are very competitive when it comes to selection criteria. Backlogs are a disadvantage for sure. But it is a pleasure to see your question about how it can be improved. Keep up the motivation and ambition doctor. You can make your file stronger by the following: 1.) TOEFL score around 110-115 2.) Excessive volunteering experience 3.) Dental Clinic Shadowing or employment experience especially in the USA. Hope this helps

As an international student, can we get a student visa to study DDS in the USA and do universities accept international students who don't have green card?

Hello, the US has universities that accept international students that would carry F1 Visa (Student Visa) to study DDS. Only some universities will require Green Card. Many accept applicants without too.

It solely depends on the university you get accepted into because some institutions help you attain the F1 and others ask for us to get it. But generally you can get it based on your admission letter.

Hello doctor! Absolutely! You can take the INBDE for sure and with the steps mentioned in this video, you will remain on track until your DDS admission is achieved.

I want to do the exam in about 1-1.5 years. Can I do the ece and dentpin now or should I wait till it's a bit closer to my exam to do it?

Hello doctor, in my recommendation, you should get your ECE and Dentipin access completed as soon as possible so that whenever it is an appropriate time to take the exam, all you have to do is register for the exam and there is nothing else to worry about.

@@TheToothFactory what state do we put when are doing the professional licensure part of the ECE? You put California, but why?

So, I chose california as an example but it generally depends on your final goal. It is where you wish to apply to the dental universities. Ultimately, as international dentists we will upload our ECE report to the CAAPID portal anyways so the destination will not matter initially. It will eventually reach everywhere

Yes doctor, I did my english in Canada in high school and I am a Canadian citizen for over 20 years. I still had to take the TOELF. For the US, we are considered international even if we are Canadian.

Absolutely without a doubt doctor. So not doubt your abilities to become a dentist in the states or Canada based on a number. Your capabilities are far more significant than a percentage you got in BDS. And they know that which is why your admissions would be based strongly on your ability to clear NDEB or INBDE exams depending on where you apply whether US or Canada.
