I am a beginner as well and started to learn networking, imo learn Programming logic before networking, learn python and THEN learn networking. Networking isn't hard but i find the programming logic knowledge way much easier to understand and have basis over everything else. Java/Html/Css are front end programming languages, if you're into hacking i think something more of C++, C# is more suited for the job.

This video is amazing and the info it provides is solid. But one info I disagree with in this video is that it suggests beginners to start with HTML and CSS if they want to learn programming. But sorry to say, those two are markup languages and will benefit you if you look into a Web development career. If you solely want to pursue cybersecurity, start with Python and then slowly move to C.

This is exactly what you should do. In the same order or maybe start with html, css, and jscript. so you can be ready to learn python when you learn nmap, Wireshark, and metasploit. This cuts corners makes it smooth and you run your own script and learn commands with Linux all at the same time. It's all inclusive. You're literally a hacker at step 3. It's just repetition at step 4. (edit) then start to study for certs you will breeze through
