I could learn a lot by spending time with him. Watching, listening to reactions and responses to the given situation. I see a boss as a glorified manager of managers.

His comment on clarity is spot on. For me especially clarity in what I’m expected to produce and then being set free to complete the project knowing what the goal is is integral to my work experience. Lack of both will end up with me leaving.
