Absolutely no need to do an integrated ATPL with those “big name” flight schools, no need to do your training in the UK either, perhaps the most expensive country in the European continent to do that. You can take the modular route for less than half the money and land absolutely the same job.

It might be worth mentioning how since Brexit there are 2 different commercial licences now: UK and EASA. They dictate if you can fly planes registered in the UK or in Europe. If you want to fly for Ryanair at one of their UK bases then you'll need an EASA licence for example. It's possible to get both but it's obviously more expensive.

Nice video but let’s not forget with the 99K integrated ATPL at CAE you need an extra 30K for the type rating plus also living expenses (rent, food, transport etc) and it starts to add up!

@@lollomo03 oh yeah definitely those places are much cheaper. I am looking at Poland for my ATPL too as I do have the EU passport for European airlines. Haven't thought about Hungary but will have a look. Thanks for the suggestion :)

I was thinking about doing the CAE EasyJet MPL course in the future, you think that is a good idea. I know that after you are tied to the airline but are there any other downsides or should i just invest in the iATPL

I think it would be better to choose the Ryanair mentored programme since you come out with an ATPL. The trouble with an MPL is if you don’t have the required standard for training or EasyJet choose not to employ you (which they can), you’ve then lost your £120,000 because the license is not valid with any other airline. If you’re rich then it’s not an issue, but you can do a better, safer course for much cheaper so why not! There’s quite a few stories online of people who paid for the EasyJet MPL and ended up losing their money so I’d personally avoid. You could do modular ATPL training for half the price and have a license which is valid with any airline!

If you want the comfort of knowing you have a job its a great course but with an MPL you dont have a CPL or PPL.

it all depends where you want to work if you do uk atpls you will get a uk licence and can only apply to uk airlines and if you do easa you can only apply in europe

Medical examination includes following tests: heart (ECG test), blood pressure, lung function (spirometry test), limbs and reflexes, chest x-ray, hearing test, vision test, color vision test, blood test, urine test (lab test values must be normal). Vision requirement is 6/6 vision. Pilots can wear glasses if glasses correct vision to 6/6 vision.

The job market in Europe is great as long as you have the right to work you can work for any low cost carrier in europe.

Also, if they accept international students, do those students get jobs at BA or other airlines as they are not nationals, and have no EU passport?

International students can't directly get a job, because airlines normally require that the person must have an unrestricted right to live and work in this particular country. Basically this means that you must have a legal permanent resident status in this country. You need to apply for a residence permit that gives you a right to live and work permanently in this country. Getting a residence permit depends on the decision of the immigration authority. I can't say if airlines support work Visas for foreign pilots.
