Confidence is what's keeping me from throwing myself out there. I find myself speaking to myself in the mirror and sounding very fluently but when it comes to speaking in front of a crowd of two or more people, I feel insecured and get stock

@@andrelourenco6285 It 's no good idea to try to learn things by heart as a foreign student . Try , first , to opt for the words you feel that you really need most to communicate so as to become familiar with . The more you use them , the more they become easier to your mind to recall and to your tongue to express with confidence . When you master them , then you may opt for a few new ones . I urged myself to build a rich vocabulary in a short time and I found out that as if I were fighting a loosing battle . Words or expressions I had accumulated started to escape both my mind and thongue . In some occasions , I felt betrayed , somehow awkward and stressed but never speechless .

hi just started watching your videos and just wanted to say that your students are lucky to have you as teacher because you truly help people! i'm not gonna lie that i clearly am not confident at all like when i’m speaking it’s just like if i had forgotten all the vocabulary i've learned so i'm letting the pressure get the better of me which lead me to be sick of everything so it’s pretty hard haha but i'm sure you’re gonna help me get through this

I agreed that confidence should be the top priority for us when we want to learn a foreign language. We don't have to put too much attention on how to speak like a native speaker. Instead, speaking with confidence is more important. Thank you for these tips. In my perspective, listening comprehension is the biggest challenge as English is not my native language.
