HOW TO Bimmercode for BMW X1 (E84). Is it worth $30??...

Being that Bimmercode for the E84 x1 doesn't have all the best options, Im stuck between wether its really worth spending the money. All together I spend about $60 between the app and the OBD2 bluetooth adapter. For me, it was kinda worth it just to have video play in motion, and the brighter Angel Eyes.

John, just stumbled onto your channel and it is great to see you focus on the unsung X1 3.5i! I've got a 13' with the Ultimate Package, Even though I've owned M's and two brand new x5's in the past I never heard of this package before but it includes all the M sport options. It's got 60k on it, and I used to Dinan all my other BMWs but not that Steve is gone. I just paid her off so I'm not looking to supercharge everything cuz it's a daily driver in California but I would like to update the navigation make it look a little more modern install an HD camera in the backup and some xenon lights and potentially put some more pep into it "safely", LOL. WHAT CAN YOU RECOMMEND WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK?

Garett!! Man thats awesome! 😁🙌🏾! Welcome! Thanks for supporting the channel first off. Yea theres very verrrryyyy few people out there with x1s on their channels. Very few lol. I’ve never heard of that package either myself?? Gonna have to research that one. So for upgrades, im assuming you also have the 35i model. My fiest upgrade would definitely be the XHP FLASH for your tcu. It COMPLETELY changed the way my x1 drives, and made it such a blast to drive now!! I’ve had 0 issues with the transmission, and im at stage 3. I would definitely start there 😁👍🏾

Hey Jon I have got a problem I installed today led angel lights replacing old halogen but afterwards it showed left/right daytime running lights bulb having error problems in my idrive in vehicle information. I tried using bimmercode but I cannot find any options for coding bulb to led in angel eyes neiher cold/warm monitoring of angel eyes. So could you please help me.

Kabir thank you so much man for the compliment and support of the channel 😁🙌🏾!! Hope the videos help out! So unfortunately with bimmercode you cant code the TPMS to show the psi pressue 😢. Thats one feature that i wish bimmercode will add in the future. I wonder if with iCarly you could code that in? 🤔

Don't quote me, but I tunings there is no to have the actual PSI show (at least for 2015 and older) because they use a different (older) technology. TPMS counts the complete turns of all four ties when they are set to the right PSI. So when one wheel is spinning differently from the other three wheels, it triggers a signal like, "Hey check out this one tire." Newer models probably have an actual pressure checker in each one. It sucks, I know. But kinda glad I have the older generation X1. It just looks better from outside. And feels more classic BMW, and less of a Lexus, or whatever.

Hi wanted to check if you tried turning on daytime running rear lights using Bimmercode in the footwell module I think it’s in and were you successful. I tried in my E84 but wasn’t successful. Thanks

I have a sport X1 E84 x20i with 8spd trans and digital gear shifter. Do you know if it is possible to activate shift paddles with BIMMER APP? Maybe something using expert mode... I got a complete steering wheel set from another X1, but with paddles and hopefully I can enable them by code. Seems like I have all wired up. Never used other plataforma than CARLY. Do you think NCS has more coding options? Thanks in advance

Im going to be very frank and say i really have no idea 😅. With bimmercode im not too sure that you can. Never used Carly before but i heard theres more coding options then BimmerCode! If you happen to find out more info let me know! Theres a few forums that talk about coding the paddles!

Hey Bro, I have E84 2015 Canadian model, can we code side mirrors close and open , with FOB lock/unlock, somehow? As far as my understanding goes, we need to go to expert mode as I don’t see any option in normal mode. Also, my right hand side mirror has tilt function when I reverse, If that has anything to do with getting the feature enabled.

xvhxvaxv yo! 😁✌🏾. Ok so for the reverse tilt feature of the right side mirror, that’s standard and not a coding thing which is awesome! For folding mirrors i would believe it to be the same for canada but im not 100% sure. Dont take my word on that lol. Ill definitely do some research and get back to you!

xvhxvaxv xvhxvaxv hey!! Sorry i didnt get back to you sooner! My apologies 🤦🏽‍♂️. So as far as i read it should be the same for canada as well. I really wouldn’t get into the expert mode unless you are 100% sure you know how to code that. Just more complicating and can really mess something up you know. And I’ve actually thought about that now that you mention it! 😁. I’ll do a coding video for that specifically if it helps out!

Hey there! I used the Bimmercode app on my 2014 E84 and now my mirrors fold automatically after coding it through the app. It is under Comfort Access settings. I don't know if there is an "automatic" way (meaning as soon as you shut off the car), but I coded it so that when I lock the car I just hold the button and the mirrors fold in. I did not need to use expert mode to do it. BTW, I am also in Canada.

Do you have to turn on the ignition or just key in key entry? And then after put obd?

Go ahead and plug in the port that you are using into your obd2, then turn on ignition right before it cranks. You should be good to go from there! 😁👍🏾

My BMW X1 e84 2011 has double barrel headlight, but only the outer once come on, does this coding helps to turn on the inner barrels? Also can we activate navigation using this coding?

Morning 😁✌🏾. As far as the navigation goes, thats not something we can code to our cars. Thats an option from factory 😕. Would be super cool if we could though 😁!! For the headlights, im not too sure what you mean by double barrel? Could you clarify for me please?

JonSantiagoRAW Hey, when I say double barrel I mean there are two projector on each side of headlamp. Left side headlamp had two projectors and right side headlamps has two projectors. But only one projector on each side comes on. Also the headlight brightness or light output is less making it difficult to drive during night, can we increase the brightness of headlight? BTW your posts are super awesome 👍

So if im not mistaken, but dont quote me on this lol, the second one is a dummy, or just non usable. But i might be mistaken. I read that somewhere. With bimmercode, we can adjust the brightness if the actual halos, but not the ligh output from the projector. For that unfortunately, we still gotta upgrade to LEDs if you running halogen bulbs, or HIDs 😁👍🏾. And thanks so much brother for the support on the channel! 🔥🔥🙌🏾

I haven’t personally tried iCarly yet, so dont want to give false comparisons you know 😅, but i have heard that there are more features with carly that you can code to the x1 then BimmerCode. Yea so the first gen x1s are coded as E84, with the second gen being the F48 😁👍🏾

To8ik_ if hmm like regular bluetooth music? Or enhanced Bluetooth audio? For that you would need to have the Combox in your bmw 😁✌🏾.

Hi ! It is too bad that you don't have the options to reset the service warnings and to code a new battery. If one day you need to replace your battery, it also needs to be "coded" and many mechanic will charge you a lot for that !

Hi, I own this model, it did happen after 10 years to replace battery, I did it my self, no need for coding, just need to remove positive first, had to reset the clock and that’s all

Phoenix 36 ive read both options as far as coding the new battery in. Some say they didn’t need to code it, and others say they did. Wierd lol.

HY! with bimmercode: can I turn off the seat belt audible warning on a bmw x1 e84? can i save the last strat / stop status? can they put a digital speedometer on the dashboard

Yo! 😁✌🏾. Yup sure can. I turned off my passenger seat warning chime due to sometimes having my dog with me and it going off the whole time. As for the start stop im not too sure since mine doesnt have that feature. For the digital speedometer you can most definitely add that feature as well 😁. Its small, in the center of the cluster, but still better then nothing lol

S P yea no problem at all! Happy to help 😁👍🏾. Yea demo version is just for for to just look through the features, or possible features for your car. Alot of those demo features wont show up for the e84 though. It cost $30 to buy it. But its just a one time purchase. From there you can freely, at no extra charge, code what ever certain feature you would like.
