also helps a lot to have the right kind of paper, otherwise going over the same spot multiple times trying to blend will make the color bleed outside your lines. like. a Lot.

Are the tombow markers alcohol based? If so this tutorial should work just fine. If they're water based you might not get the same results since waterbased are different and i believe harder in general to blend colors.

This is a godscend!! Small question, With the chisel nib, is there a way to prevent the lighter marker from picking up the darker ink from the paper? I’d hate to ruin my markers by doing something wrong

Is it harder to do with cheaper alcohol markers or am I just doing it wrong. I’m a self taught artist but I’ve never used alcohol markers so I’m not 100% sure if it’s harder for me because the ones I got are on the cheaper side, or because I’m not quite doing it right. I thought I was doing what you showed here though… could it be my paper? I don’t have the brush tip but wish I did. Just chisel and bullet.
