Does the tip to tip method change the colour of the marker, or does it eventually come out? I don't know a lot about alcohol markers, and are curious

It doesn’t matter if you go from dark to light or light to dark. It’s really up to the individual. You can do it either way or both. So don’t tell people “what’s best” just because that’s what YOU prefer because what’s best is subjective here, it’s not a fact. Maybe next time just say you can go either way but then you can mention how you like to do it. That way people can decide for themselves…

For me i use a thick paper and blend it slowly, not so sure if that make's sence tbh but hope it helps

They make marker paper for this. Also a higher lb (thicker) paper helps. You can also just put something under the paper as well. I use a clipboard or the cardboard back of a sketchbook. 😄

When you said that all you need is a couple tips in the beginning I instantly said yes marker tips would be necessary for marker blending

When I blended my alcohol markers I would just lay down the darker ink then very quickly flood the blending area with the lighter ink and use the nib to blend it out like paint. It looked pretty seamless even with different colors..

hi! i have a question: so i ordered some Ohuhu markers, because my chameleons (which, if you didn’t know, are specifically made for blending) are running out. i couldn’t afford any with brush tips, but i ended up getting a bunch with chisel/bullet tips. they’re coming in a few days and i was wondering if you have any tips on blending without brush tips?

I would worry with doing tip to tip with different colors that the markers would end up having an inconsistant color over time. Like you try to use the pink marker and pink with blue streaks comes out

I was wondering, after using the tip to tip method, does the color from the opposite marker eventually fade? Because the method looks like it works very well, but I wouldn’t want a reddish-blue marker forever.🤔

I’m a little late to this lol Most of the time, the colors do fade, for example, if you add a blue to a red, as long as you color it down, the blue should fade and you’ll also get a nice blend :) This also may depend on your markers though so please keep that in mind. In addition, this is also based on my experience and idk what happens if you leave a color on a tip like that for awhile :)
