I know for beginners that there's the natural desire to paint immediately, but learning the fundamentals can make the endeavor much more successful from the onset. That includes learning what you can do with your brushes, the feel and spring of them and how to achieve the blending that some find hard to achieve with acrylics. . You can practice these without doing an entire composition, which can be intimidating at first. Practice is the key. I know it's hard and maybe frustrating for some to practice without achieving a painting at the end of day. But wishing won't make you satisfied with your painting, it requires a lot of practice that is purpose driven. Thanks so much, Clive. No matter the skill level these types of exercises are always of benefit.

Thank you SO much for this lesson. it appears that it took its time making its way to my recommended videos, but boy was it worth it. I've actually walked away from acrylics for a while and have been actively learning watercolor because I needed a break, but now I can't wait to get back to a canvas thanks to this lesson! I've always had issues with my transitions and seeing this was like having a lightbulb light up over my head. Thanks for all of your videos, I've been a subscriber for a while and have learned a lot from you over the past couple of years, and now this too!
