How to blow dry your hair with a Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer

A step-by-step guide to blow drying with your Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer.
00:05 Start with clean, wet hair.
00:08 Connect the Gentle air attachment. Gentle on scalp and helps prevents colour fade.
00:12 Pre-dry on medium speed, medium heat.
00:17 Lift hair and dry roots to add volume.
00:26 Attach the Smoothing nozzle. Smoother airflow.
00:30 Keep on medium speed, medium heat.
00:35 Dry fringe with round brush and Smoothing nozzle.
00:45 Roll ends around the brush to create a flick.
00:55 Alternate the direction of roll.
00:58 Repeat on the other side of your head.
01:17 Finish with Flyaway attachment. Hides flyaways in a single pass.
00:58 Select high speed, cold setting for fine hair.
01:24 Start at the top.
01:27 Hold until hair attracts.
01:31 Slowly run down lengths to hide flyaways,
01:39 To style back of the head, rotate attachment 45°. Always rotate or remove attachment by holding the cool edges.
01:43 Repeat on back of head.

I keep reading it stops working after 2-3 years and doesn’t have a longer warranty. Id love to buy one but I wish the warranty was better. Hope Dyson changes this soon.

Clearly this is the best hair dryer out and good brand to..but i notice this is ideal for girl's with straight thin hair and not to mention the time consumption is brilliant..but i see for someone like me it would be very time consuming. My hair is uncontrolable only after washing it then semi drying it and then putting product through it i can wear it down and that is the only time i feel in control then after a while it become's out of control. I would really like to test this hairdryer before purchasing 1 all i'm looking for is less time consuming to straighten my hair.

As someone who has very thick, wavy/curly hair, I am SO glad I purchased this. I get what you mean though. It’s a lot of money. I received a 20% off coupon from dyson. I don’t know how, my dad sent it to me. I think if you sign up for emails you might get one. Anyway, this is a total game changer for me. It normally takes me an hour and a half just to straighten my hair. With this blow drier it took about 15 min to blow dry AND it straightened my hair. I use my curling iron to curl it a little, and the whole thing took me about 40 min. The majority of which was curling my hair. I highly recommend this product.

As an owner of a Dyson Supersonic Origin, I have a question. Why is it so hard to find the official Dyson Supersonic attachments to go with it? My Supersonic only came with the Smoothing nozzle, and as a 19 M who is learning to live with long hair for the very first time, it’s HARD! Let me know if you sell the other attachments separately. I think it would help. So far my head turns into a pile of frizz every single time I try to use the hairdryer.

My Dyson hair dryer stopped working after 2.5 years (yes, I cleaned the filter). I took it into a local Dyson repair shop and they won't fix it because I removed the tag (that was an eyesore) with the serial number on it. So I'm out $600. They said they could sell me another one for a discount....sign. I'll never buy a Dyson again. I expect better service out of a premium brand. It's clearly a Dyson product. Not sure why the serial number is critical. Apple will work on any Apple product without a serial number. Not to mention the frustration of a $600 hair dryer failing shortly after the warranty period.

Been using the same Parlux hairdryer for 13 years now, it was around 200 price It was mandatory/recommended at a hair school No clue if this brand is still good and no clue about the model. It does say made in italy

My hair dryer busted right after the warranty period expired. Appx. 2 years and 4 months, $300 hair dryer died and the service center guy says the motor died. 2 years for $300 hair dryer lol I will never buy any Dyson products ever again.

My Dyson hairdryer overheated every minute! I paid 399 euro and this hairdryer take me 2 hour to finish blow dry my hair! I have another hair dryer and I paid 80 euro and never stop working! 399 it’s very expensive for a product that u can’t use properly! And I buy it less than year!

I loved this hair dryer but isn't worth buying serious misrepresentation on quality, repair, and customer service. Mine was out of warranty when it recently broke. I was told Dyson Corporate refuses to give the repair department parts to fix it, and they offered a 20% discount on a full-price hair dryer. They do sell refurbished ones. This feels as a poly to make consumers to buy a new one. It's horrible customer service.

Bought a dyson hairdryer end December 2022 and it has broken down just after barely 6 weeks. This is much worst than any of the Philips hairdryer that I have used for years and never once broke down on me. Poor, poor quality! and poor value for money.

A boyfriend here. This is just a regular fan, extremely overpriced and just stupid people can ever buy it. The only thing might be the curled nozzle which you can 3D print for 5$. Save your money and dont fall for this crap.

Dyson hairdryers are no good, i am a hairstylist, bought one after two year, it cuts off, I have to put it aside. Then in few minutes start blowing. I will not recommend buying one . Please donot purchase any.

As others have commented, the Dyson hair dryer is a huge waste of money. Mine always had a problem with overheating and I had a special 20 amp dedicated circuit run for it. I have cleaned it and tried working with Dyson Customer Service, but all they can suggest is for me to drive to a Service Center that's over an hour away from me. I will never buy another Dyson product again, they are garbage!
