This video is a game changer for me. I've always struggle with finding the right spots to bluff and the methodology you gave step by step to bluff with the correct combos is just what I needed. Thanks a lot

I thought this was going to be less complex than it turned out to be. I was ready for a giga troll.

Do we consider villain’s tendencies and skill level? Like asking ourselves, “Is he more likely to fold top pair if I bluff shove?” All the theory goes out the window if you’re bluffing into a calling station.

player tendency is always a factor. but assuming you have no reliable information you should probably stick to your base gto strategy

Nope. Best villain can do is break even regardless of his strategy.

At ~7 minutes where you're discussing turn bets: does the solver balance the checking range with anything other than middle strength hands? Specifically stronger hands? I'm assuming the lower end is balanced by the checking of your non-bluff air?

The bucket analogy was helpful. Also, how do you think about these 2 factors -- unblocking folds vs blocking value? Is one factor better than the other in some cases? Or does it just come down to how many combos you block/unblock?

Great video. I'd be interested to know the impact of picking a 'bad' bluff candidate vs picking a 'GTO approved' one (assuming we still bluff the correct number of combos in a given spot). For example if on the river we ignore the card removal heuristic (or we try to allow for it but don't get it right) but we still get the value / bluff combo ratio correct, is the EV loss significant? Can this be investigated using this software?

Yes for each action there is a value when you hover over a hand. That value is the average number of chips you are expected to win by taking such action against a perfect opponent. Against a real life opponent, the EV may be higher or lower. For example, if your opponent only calls bets with top pair + and nut flush draws, bluffing with a busted nut flush draw would be a huge mistake because you would be removing essentially Villain's entire folding range.

Hi there. GTO noob here. I don't really understand the bucket analogy. What factors determine the size of the bucket i.e how often I bluff? What I usually do is think of the size I would use with my value hands in certain scenario. For example I would bet pot on the river with my nutted hands which gives V 2:1 odds so you I try to match the same odds in my range making 2:1 nut to air ratio by doing a quick combo count. Are there any other factors I'm missing??

Do you have or can you make a video on how to simplify preflop GTO and bet sizing ( and also include a segment about strategies against limpers)?
