How to boardslide in one day! This may seem impossible but with my simple process I'm confident you can learn how to boardslide in one day! When you learn how to boardslide it will open up a lot of possibilities. After you learn how to boardslide you can learn how to boardslide to fakie, shuv out, up and down rails at the park. The trick to learn how to boardslide is all in the shoulders. If you learn how to guide the board with your shoulders you'll learn how to boardslide very quickly. In this video I show you my methods to learn how to boardslide. I use a very simple technique called the hopscotch technique that will simplify how to boardslide even for a complete beginner skater. I hope that this video can help you learn how to boardslide or if you have them I hope this can help you learn how to boardslide even better!

For me it was easier to learn it first on ledges. Also lean little bit forward so you wont get that near death feeling when slipping out.

😛 Once I start the boardslide on anything that isn't a ledge, I don't know how to rotate out of it and it feels kinda nasty. I learned on ledges many moons ago, and it feels safer... good shoulder tips though. I also don't know how to feel about boardrails. Also, Where you been man?! I've been skating for 7months now!

This is so helpful!! I have ollies, FS and BS180s and pop-shovits (regular and fakie) down… Am I ready for board slides? I’ve been trying to slide a little bit on the slappy curb at the skatepark, do you think it’s a good start before I move onto rails (where I actually need to ollie before boardsliding)? I managed to slide a few inches every few sessions haha but I slipped yesterday and hit my hip on the curb, so I kinda got scared

Bro is you can FS 180 then you got it practice putting your board on a rail and slide of you can do that then put a deck on a skateboard horizontally and jump on it to get the feeling of sliding you got this

hey could you help me? ive been trying to boardslide for so long, but i cant seem to get my backfoot on. my front foot slides perfectly but my backfoot is never on the board. idk what it is, the rail is quite tall but im not scared of it so i dont know what i can do to fix it. ive been trying to learn it stationary but its the same problem. please help

Hi Local Joe! ✌️ I really hope you see this message because i’ve been struggling with the boardslide, I’ve been trying it for a couple of days and I tried it yesterday for 2 hours straight and was unable to land it, here’s my question. I’ve heard many people say that when learning boardslides it’s better to start off by just barely clipping the last part of the rail but i’ve found that to be more difficult than to just go for the actual boardslide, I feel like my feet have to be way quicker to land it that way and it makes it more difficult compared to just going for a actual boardslide, what are your thoughts on that?

The whole point is to make it as easy as possible to start. If doing the very end makes it harder then it’s defeating the purpose. Do the right amount that makes it easiest to land then go from thete

I had this 20+ year fear of boardslide. I tried it as a kid and fell right on my ass on the rail. I bought a rail a couple weeks ago and finally said fuck it. I didn’t fall on my ass but I had trouble landing it. I’ll get back to it tomorrow.

dude hows the boardslides going?. this weekend i just bought an element flatbar. Im in this fear of even attempting it. watched my brother land several yesterday and i couldnt even bring my self to even really try. last summer i tried my first boardslide on this sloped rail. didnt even think anything of it when i was going for it. completely racked the backed of my head, my back and hip on the rail. knocked the wind out of me and i was fucked for like a week lol. now im just looking at this thing having flashbacks and feeling like such a pussy. i left our skate session really down on myself for not having the balls to try.

@@lordlyon9764 the hardest part is committing. I’d recommend not waxing th rail just a little on your board. Try to stay centered and low

My board slides are slower, I do crouch down during the whole trick or makes it easy much easier, and I used to hold my breath lol then I stop holding my breath and kept calm during the slide and actually slid for longer
