PRINT RECIPE for Boiled Corn on the Cob:
cookinglessonsf...
__________________________
RECIPE: Boiled Corn on the Cob
INGREDIENTS:
Ears of corn, fresh
Water
INSTRUCTIONS:
1: Remove the husks and silk from the ears of corn.
2: Fill the pot with enough water to cover the corn.
3: Bring the water to a boil.
4: Carefully drop the corn in the boiling water.
5: Bring the water back to a boil.
6: Simmer the corn 4 - 7 minutes or until the corn is tender.
NOTES:
Keep the unhusked ears of corn in the refrigerator until you are ready to boil them. The sugar in the corn will quickly turn to starch at room temperature.
You can husk the corn while waiting for the water to boil.
To remove the silks, hold the corn under running water and brush with a soft vegetable brush.
To check if the corn is done, pierce a kernel with the tip of a sharp knife.

You could reheat the corn in boiling water or in a steamer pan. A steamer pan would be fastest. If you are desperate you could microwave it but it seems to heat the inside of the cob faster than the outside corn.

Wow, I never knew how exciting boiling corn was but I put it in google as how to and the first thing that popped up was how to boil corn. I didn't realize this was a thing. i have been boiling it all my life and every few minutes I ask , hey, do you think the corn is done yet?

I didn’t expect so many people to watch my video on how to boil corn on the cob. It reminds me that everyone needs to learn if they haven’t done it before.

@@CookingLessonsforDad Actually Comedian Orny Adams posted a live performance Called "More Than Loud" Full Comedy Special. He talks about looking up how to something and it finished filling in after he typed how too. He said it surprised him that how to boil corn was the first thing it popped up. So,. I though I would watch your video and say something nice about it while I brush up on my boil skills.... Cheers!
