I am glad I found your video as one game I play has frequently given me issues, likely due to network connectivity, I am hoping this will help out a great deal. In fact tomorrow I am planning a major clean up of my room which I hope I will find the pens I had (a little creature seems to likely have hidden all the pens) but I went and did the basic "upgrade" hoping it improves upon that game.

I have "Gigablast" internet, yes 1 gig per second. This didn't change anything except my download speed from an average of 500-550 Mbps to about 700-750 Mbps on my xbox one x. This man deserves so many subs for vids like this!

It usually varies for me. Sometimes it can be around 400-500 ping which is seriously bad, or usually around 80-150 ping which is sort of average. Gaming is okay for me but it could be a lot better.

Start downloading whatever you need then go to network settings. And stay on the bandwidth usage page. On the top left it’ll tell you how fast you’re downloading. If you leave the page the speed drops again.

Thanks, the dns # is the one I didn't know about, use to average at 30-60mbps for downloads and installs now I'm seeing 100-300, it constantly fluctuates to 1.mbps to 299.99mbps but definitely huge difference. Thank you!!!

My issue is, my download speed showing up within the settings of the console is greatly higher than what is actually shown when downloading games. I get 220+ mbps in the settings app, but when downloading games I get less than 100, sometimes as low as 20 or 30. The speed also jumps all over the place, going from 5 mbps to 90 to 30 etc. Ive tried everything such as port forwarding and reseting the console/changing dns, along with everything else in the troubleshoot guide on microsoft and 3 hour phone call i had with microsoft support. I cant seem to get an answer.

When you run a speed test on your Xbox. You are connecting to one server.when you download a game you are connecting to a different server with hundreds of other users downloading stuff at the same time on the same server. So I'd say your console is 100 percent capable of downloading at what the test shows. However your game downloads are limited by the server side and how busy that server is at the time of your download. Hope this helps.

The only way to make my games download faster, i just press quit on the game im on and it downloads at 200mbps to 100mbps went from 9 hours to 1 hour

The main reason for that is because the game is downloading onto the same drive the other game is running from.

Guys I live in Orlando, Florida in the US. Something a bit weird is that even though I live in the US, the US DNS numbers gave me a speed of between 40 and 50 mb/s. I tried the Europe DNS settings and they gave me between 110 and 160 mb/s.

DNS (lookup the IP of a domain name) will have zero effect on download speed. It's not your gateway. Any perceived before/after change is just natural variance. You're better off optimizing router settings.

Angel Martinez lies I was doing this shit using the same DNS he used and it didn’t do fuck all. Sure sometimes it showed faster in the detailed statistics, but actually watch a game download and watch what your Mbps bounces between. You’ll soon realize it it’s literally such a minuscule change, and sometimes even slower..

From what I can tell by running multiple tests on multiple devices in the same exact spot. The Xbox one s always comes up slower than my other devices by anywhere from 50-100 mbps. It leads to the conclusion that the Xbox has a weak WiFi card compared to phones and other devices

Ez Clapz I did that dns thing and it put my download speed from 14 mbps to 455 mbps and it just took me 25 minutes to download modern warfare 🥴

I have a Ethernet cable right out the back of my Xbox into the router and still have an average of 2.75 mbps i don’t know why

I opened my door and it started to go a little faster Edit: WOW this really helped some people. Well I always keep my door shut and play with the squad and now I open it and a lot of things are going faster.

PS4 USERS::: It's the same general idea. It's just changing your DNS and making sure you have a wired connection. Just follow the video and do the same thing on your Ps4. Same difference

My download speeds and upload sleeps are great. 380mps upload and 45mps download. But every time I get into a game it’s kicks me out of it. I don’t lag for the first 5 minutes and then I’ll just get kicked. Any idea what’s going on?

Thanks, the server bumped my dowload spead up from 69.69 mbps to 73.70 mbps. Not a massive jump but welcomed at the same time as mw downloads are ridiculously large.

Can you help me I live in UK and my xbox one s doesn't allow me to download 360 games and original games even though Microsoft say to me I can dogtally download them I can't it has a red band through them on the store and says your region doesn't allow them to be downloaded I'm in UK and they keep saying to me migrate your region but I do that even on my Microsoft account it doesn't allow me to, I can't download any 360 or original games at all it has a red band on in every game
