In todays video me and my friend bored out new wheels that are going to be going on the G35. We came up on the perfect set of wheels for the widebody we got coming up, but the bore size was smaller than what we needed. So when machine shops don't want to do the job, we had to take action ourselves and increase the center bore of the wheels and get the job done. If you guys have the same problem, I definitely encourage boring the wheels your self if you can't get a machine shop to. See you guys soon !

Nice, I was thinking about taking my wheels to a shop because wheels seems like something you don't want to mess with. I got honda specific wheels from some dude and i think im going to bore them to fit my 240sx. Thanks alot for the video and this just shows that yes anyone can do it at home with enough patience and test fitting after ever pass

Another option if you don't want to use a router spinning at 30000 rpm and you only need to remove a millimeter of aluminum. Buy a rotary rasp ($8 at Home depot). Stick it into your drill and make circular passes with even pressure. Check every few passes (you will see the material being removed) with your calipers and test fit on the hub. If you only have to remove a mm, it will literally take only a minute. Just did it on my BMW X5 with some snow tires. Getting the right router bit with the correct mandrel size can take some time. This solution works like a charm. Very simple......remember this is soft aluminum....you don't have to do much to remove material.😊

I remember boring my Dayton's for my Nissan Maxima back in the 90s. Their was no way in hell I was going to return my rims. I was very determined to get my wheels to fit, at any cost. 🤣 I loved those wheels. It was a hell of a job, but I got it done. The sad part is, my passenger side wheel came off a couple months after installation. 🤣 Man I thought I was cool back then until that happened. "EMMMBARASSING"

With a 1/16 undersized bearing on a flush cut bit the bearing becomes the guide. It's simple router techniques that usually apply to wood working. You then flip it over and this time you use the flushcut bit with the flush bearing. This method allows you to take a perfect 1/16 each time you do it

@@LuminaryCo no they dont... So yes this is definetly not really a good idea.
