HOW TO BREAK GOTHIC (Funny Step by Step Guide)
In this video I'll show you how to break Gothic. After 1 hour, you will be able to kill orcs in 2-3 hits. This guide is specialized on a strength, one-handed build Its pretty easy, there are only 1 or 2 hard steps but all can be done by a casual.
I never put so much time and creativity in a video. It would really make my day if you like the video or even leave a sub. I will continue making this kind of videos from now on.
Step 22: If you want to trade with Skip you have to say the right dialog options in the right order. The normal way would be to become a guard.
Say:
1. Thorus send me.
2. You have a special task.
3. Thorus said that Skip gets a big kick in the BUTT.
- done, pls save before doing that.
Step 55 and 61
In order to get the free 5+ Strength from Horatio, you have to talk with Jeremiah about the Rice Lord. That will trigger the dialog option for Horatio. You have to say that you will use the gained strength to wipe out the Rice Lord and his thugs.
I get your point if there are any similarities with any other content creators, but these are just coincidences. It's against my understandig of making a good video and woudn't be any fun. I was inspired by the soundtrack from the beginning that's all.

Is there a way to enable screenshots in Gothic 2? Like in Settings or in some directory .ini document or something? Something which would enable quick screenshots(as in not PrintScreen and then Paste into Paint, that takes too much time) and which would save screenshots automatically in the game directory or some other folder?

You can get an +15 weapons protection +15 Arrow Protection Amulet in one of the chests of Gomez. Also, Drago, one of the Firemages carries a Ring With +10 weapon protection and more. Just knock him out. Your Total weapons protection value can be as high as 75 without leaving the first Act

few oldschool tricks 1. you can get miner pants in new camp mine for free 2. you can find spells behind few waterfalls 3. you can steal stuff from bedrooms in old camp castle 4. you can beat few miners from old camp to get exp and money

I haven't played this game, and I only know about it through brief game reviews and word of mouth. But I gotta say... That's the most hilarious jumping animation I've seen in a game. The PC looks like he's trying to scare off a bear by wildy flailing his arms around.

Yeah. I remember how hard it was the first time when I played it as a kid. I realised back then that the game was quite easy, especially compared to Gothic 2. But dispite having it finished many times back then it was when replaying it last year when I realised how easy the game really was. I was using a similar way as you, just without exploiting bugs, except for the relatively passive AI of the orc shamans. Using Silas axe I cleared the entire wildlife in chapter one whithout beeing part of any faction. A shame the game couldnt be finished without joining a faction. In Gothic 2 it was possible in the main game without the addon (there is a simple mod "Gothic-2 classic" allowing you to play that, without having to uninstall the add on). In the add on this wasnt possible because Lord Hagen wont give you his quest to go to the valley of mines, but there is a bug: you have to transform to a sheep and speak to Lord Hagen (I think it is because the game hecks wether you are part of a faction when you ask him for the quest, but when you are a seep, your faction is mapped to a default value).

@@MrSuperProoo I think part of what makes it so enjoyable is the freedom of exploration that only limits your reach by how clever you are about dealing with certain types of enemies, and knowing what you can or can't do (as to not anger the whole camp). I find it strange that you didn't get stopped by anyone for attacking a guard, though. Normally you get in trouble for it and all the other guards go after you. Does it reset in each new Act?

@@Official_Proxy in my gothic version I only get attacked by other guards seeing it. I first ko the guard, then Fisk. Fisk won't care haha. All these different gothic patches make the game different for everyone

Wow, this seems much easier than getting the Orc Hammer early, which is what I did on one playthrough. I didn't even feel bad because getting past all the Bloodhounds at a low level was insanely difficult.

1）Go to Swamp Camp 2) Visit Swamp Sharks 3) Lure one to the nearby pontoon, where a templar is guarding 4) wait for the Templar to attack the shark and get killed 5) Quickly steal double hander 70 damage+ at level 4 6） Invest all points in strength ( 42 needed for templar sword)

Ive done it, overall its very good but I would improve some things :D first of all one chest in the castle has a wrong unlock sequence. After clearing the new camp I deciced to learn acrobatic to imrpove my movement speed and then I farmed two lvls instead of one. And last thing in my opinion, before entering orc area farm two lvls and learn one handed weapons is more effective. Ive completed this game normally hundred times and with this guide I had so much fun! :D thanks for this video and I cant wait for Gothic II guide. Peace!

After playing the teaser several times (I still don't know why it is increasing in size - at least the Logs files - up to 32 GB!!), watching the related videos, reading reviews / comments and analizing the surveys my conclusion is clear: the teaser is simply "teasing" you with all kind of elements to be considered along the storyline in final game: your pretty decent armor, the sword in the cave (similar to Cayden's or Orry's swords), the snapper you have to kill for Bloodwyn, 100% lockpicking skill, receipes for better stuff, essential trinkets, the bottles and ore you collect and so on. More than that, I think there will be levels of difficulty for everyone (from absolute "rookies" ;) to hardcore gamers who know everything about Gothic world) hence the tips where to climb, what to collect, what crates you've already opened before...Therefore, we should not judge the game through the teaser too harshly, I am sure the producers are struggling to do a pretty good job in order to have a well polished game in the end!

since this is not glitchless, here's how to break gothic 1 with less steps: 1. get +500 ore (in a similar manner as shown on video) 2. get digger's trousers, nek's amulet and supply urself with some healing 3. steal the strength potion in a chest - mentioned in this video next to skip 4. exit old camp and find the nearest two scavengers 5. save now 6. go between the scavengers and get hit repeatedly as you drink the strength potion. you will get +3 strength each time and yet the potion will not disappear (because the animation for drinking is interrupted with being hit and the potion disappears only after the animation is finished playing) 7. do this a couple of times and back away and save for safety (sometimes you'll be able to finish the drinking animation before any of the scavengers manage to hit you, losing the potion) gz. hit up to like 500 strength and u can go 1 hit orcs with your fists.

One major bug skipped:You dont have to buy that sword. You go straight to Gomez place and steal all the swords. They beat you up but dont kill and you have no ore to be taken. Then, with skip, you sell, not buy, swords. As for farming xp, you dont kill those scavengers - before going to the old camp, you jump on the mountains to troll place, shrink it with scroll and kill it. Rest of gameplay similar to what this movie shows...

Just dont let snappers and black goblins kill you. Another way to get the sword, more oldschool and less bugusing, is to provoke orc dogs to attack guards. Man, im getting old. This game is literally my childhood...

If someone has a way to get G2 broken fast, comment here. I saw in a speedrun that some guy uses 2x fire rains near the herold and Ulf the fire novice. Somehow he finished the thiefsguild quest for andre and joined the militia super fast (good armor, fast valley of mines). For me it's not working. So I can make a similar video for G2 🥰

@PSTJ doesnt give you access to armor and the 12 HP per lvl are added to the dragon snapper, not your hero but its usefull yeah

You have 5 different masters in the city wich u have to convice that you can be accepted as a citizen and then join the militia. A alternative way is to kill the thiefs guild, wich can be done faster with spells but i struggle using it on the right spot to kill the right ppl

@@MrSuperProoo Back in the day I discovered a thing in the game that if you consume an item (or try to) there's a chance that it gets consumed but it also still remains in your hand. When I realized this I started trying to read Night of the Raven stone tablets and after watching TV for a while and clicking the mouse, I soon had hundreds of stone tablets. Then I just learned to read the language. Your character attempts to read the stone tablet but can't and puts it in your inventory. For me it works that about every 3 try I duplicate a stone tablet. I used to play this game a lot back in the day and ended up trying to play the game like this in different ways. That duplication glitch was so broken that I ended up not abusing it many times. I think I noticed it when eating dark mushrooms for mana because once in a while the number of the items would go down by 1 as expected but immediately revert back.

1. Become blacksmiths apprentice 2. Learn how to craft a basic sword 3. *Make 2 swords and get enough strength to equip it* 4. *Equip the sword* and talk to the blacksmith that you want to sell the weapons you made 5. The sword you equipped will be un-equipped but you get to keep both swords and managed to make gold *as if you sold 1 sword* 6. Rinse and repeat *The higher strength you have the better swords you make can be equipped and sold like Ruby Sword which can be sold for 800 gold I think* P.s. I highlighted the sentences that are important to cover in the video.

you could've killed all those goblins easy if you took the digger armor from fisk and then take the rings from the big tall tower near gomez. It has tons of chests with rings/amulets.

probably, im not into that game too much anymore. As u saw I added two +3 STR potions, and if you take these you 1 shot the goblins. When I recorded the whole thing i did it without these 2 potions.

An even easier way to farm XP is to get guards to attack you with their bows or crossbows. Then save before they kill you and load your savegame again. After you load, they won't put their bows away but they won't attack you either, which will give you the opportunity to knock them unconcious, collect XP and loot their stuff. Makes the game easy af but also kinda takes the fun out of it.

thx for that tip lol. Right now I'm looking for getting op in G2 but there isnt really a way to get "OP"... game is much longer with more enemies, even using draggon snapper isnt worth

@@MrSuperProoo Yeah, also they fixed most of the bugs from Gothic 1. It's far more difficult to exploit. For instance in Gothic 1 you could kill your own summoned creatures (demons, golems et cetera) and gain XP from them. In Gothic 2 you can't gain XP from your own summoned creatures anymore.

well i usually turned into wolf and got myself beneath orc village for the "revenge steel" quite early. the only down side was nobody would've teach you for 2Handed sword.. then again i could 1 hit everything ^^

I remember there used to be a glitch with the STR ring but it was on the old disk version of gothic. The glitch was that you could equip and re-equip the ring and the STR would stack. Meaning after you got the ring you could get up to 200STR in 10s. Gothic 2 was the same but with a dexterity ring

You can actually get Scar kinda stuck in the pole next to him and then pepper him with arrows by the table. Same works for Silas when he's in the upper floor if you climb on top of the bookshelf.

Looks similar to my later playthroughs. (I've replayed this game way too much.) Some additional things of note: 1) You don't need ice block to deal with Silas. I personally just shoot him to death with a bow from on top of the nearby bookcase. 2) You can nab a Heavy Crossbow if you K.O. Jackal in the Old Camp. Strong enough to carry you through pretty much the whole game, and excellent at thinning out some of the tougher areas in Chapter 1 (e.g. the Orc Camp).

You can actually get Battle sword for free just run into armory in Gomez's place, steal it and run into Gomez's room. The guard will stop chasing, and like this you can steal as many swords as you want.

Have you tried lure the orcs from orc land to the two guards? You can have the guardian sword immediately and its need only 12 strength

I like it! I actually used to do something similar. Would generally rush Strength and get the Rusty Greatsword then go to New Camp for Lares Axe. Haveen't gotten much further because I haven't played in a long time though.

well the game is broken once you get scar's sword and about 40-50 str. Honestly this video could have been 1 minute :D But still i watched the whole thing. Glad there are people out there who still love Gothic. Cheers mate!

In the orc town near the tample gate if u go to the shamans room to the right there is a 2h swords hiden in the prison on a dead man skele with 92 dmg
