Water intrusion? Where might it intrude from? Salt water and sea air are NOT an issue with wooden or fiberglass boats. The only think they can affect are the metal parts, and if you use stainless, as I suggest, there you go. The worst thing is FRESH water, Mostly intrusion from rain. That will cause dry rot, which in not dry at all, and which salt water cannot cause. That is why I suggest that they be kept out of the rain (stored under a roof,) with plugs open and the tongue elevated. I'm sick of this pandemic. Hard to get anything where I live. I drove four hours round trip to purchase a wood stove. I been wanting an alweld brand boat going on almost two years. If your lucky enough you can get one in six to eight months . I've always liked wood boats just never found the time to build one I feel safer in a wooden boat. Thiers no marine plywood close to me. I'm thinking about exterior plywood. Then wrap it in fiberglass. I'm just curious at what it would cost to build one.
