How to Build a $40 DIY IKEA Greenhouse Cabinet

Everything I used here has been tested in high humid conditions for well over a year. The pegboard, monstera shelf, and black T5 Barrina grow light were gifted. All other products were researched and purchased including the corner shelf and additional grow lights shown.

This did NOT take me 8 months like my Rudsta greenhouse 😅 and it only comes in white so no spray painting necessary (IYKYK).
Humidity hits about 70% and there’s no humidifier. The more plants you stuff in, the higher the humidity will be. And the custom acrylic pegboard set from @modernaqua allows the most functional AND aesthetic way to house more plants in this greenhouse. The shelves have pre-drilled holes designed to perfectly fit a Barrina grow light!
I made a comparison video awhile back comparing all of the IKEA glass cabinets that can be converted into greenhouses. It’s in my Greenhouse Playlist on my channel. The Baggebo is actually cheaper than when I first bought it. It used to be $49 and now it’s $40! Truly this is a great entry greenhouse project that doesn’t take up much space at all and it’s SO easy to build.

I'm way too pregnant right now to do all this, but believe me, I will be saving this video with all the rest of those awesome plant ideas, and as soon as I can be less human mom and more plant mom again, I will be making 2 of these. To go with my 2 ikea green house thingies, the long ones, that I did because I was obsessed with urs!

I am finally excited to finish my cabinet and turn it into a true greenhouse - install the side plastic, weatherstripping and put on the door 😮😅 (it's been an open cabinet - shelf - since Thanksgiving) but well lit and with everything else you shared. I installed the lights, installed the special ordered shelves, the grommet, the timers, the fan (its off😊) and of course, the plants. Your video, even tho I've seen it over and over, various versions, maybe tonight, it was the cute handle 😂😂😂😂

Yes those shelves are so expensive! I ordered some. Thought I was getting 3. I cried when 1 came. I was so excited until I opened the box and only one was in there. $85 with shipping. My husband felt sorry for me too😭. But my one monstera shelf is beautiful ❤️.

So my total cost isn’t accurate because I used the materials to build the Baggebo, Rudsta, and two smaller tabletop greenhouse. Total cost to make all 4 greenhouses was a little over $100

Probably like 250... Those acrylic back and shelves are expensive I'm sure. Also good plant lights are even more expensive. She probably paid more. The ikea cabinet was the cheapest part I guess

Hi! So my total is not accurate because I used all leftover materials from another greenhouse project. I did organize everything onto my storefront so you can see the individual costs of everything and also, you can customize as little or as much as you like! For example, if you don’t go with the pegboard and just the shelves, that’s like $40.
