@@abbas674 You got lucky. Popped a 2.0L @ 340hp, a 2.5L hybrid @ 380hp, and a non AVCS 2.5L on e85 with forged internals @500hp. I will admit i got almost 85k out of the 2.0 though. The most exciting was the final one. Best we can figure is we got case flex, which caused the forged rod to snap and go through the block, splash oil all over the turbo and catch fire. It would have been a real disaster if i wasn't on my way to a BBQ and had a cooler full of ice and beer in the trunk I used to put the fire out, haha. After pulling the top mount I could reach down and grab the crank.

@Josh Yates I think he was suggesting after mods. Not stock, but who knows. Tuning these cars has a tiny margin of error, just a slightly bad tune will demolish your motor. No one with these KZfaq videos gives you the plain and simple reality of nodding these. If spend 2000+ in performance and get 20k miles then i blows or something, the wtf is the point.

To those who looking to make more power on stock block. Don’t bother with turbo upgrade. It’s pointless as you will already nearly have block maxed to its limits on e60. You wouldn’t be able to maximize the boost on the larger turbo until you have beefier setup. Not saying you can’t but if your pockets are deep enough, go big! Adding FP blue to my cart right neow. 💥🔥

The mods I listed will take your car to 400HP very easy, just get a good tuner so you don't meet uncle Rodney because they give you some crazy torque curve. Edit : Unless your an enthusiast like myself, $13,000+ to get 400hp is a little out of this park, I myself have been considering selling my WRX and moving to the Supra, easy 500hp for around 5k.

Ima Stage 1+ Cobb and am banking up for a stage 2+ upgrade. Noticed a huge marked difference immediately after the 1+ upgrade and can’t wait... the power is addicting. 340HP is a great number for this ultralight chassis, a real contender on the streets fo’ shizzle. I also plan on doing a KIllerBee Preformance oiling system to compensate for the systemically flawed Subaru designed pan which is what results in most of the Boxers catastrophic failures.

Going small 10 times for upgrades is way more expensive then going huge once. Especially, if your 5 small upgrades deep and your engine grenades. Then you have a $35,000 car with $25-30k in mods and you wonder why you didn't just buy a used GTR, GT350 or C6 Z06.
@ZFA1738

Well the WRX new is under 30k. Got mine brand new for 28k out the door. And going stage 2 which includes intake, downpipe (j-pipe) and exhaust is, at the most, 2k. Then with pro tune is another 3-5 hundred depending where you go. Then I’d go intercooler, charge pipe, and bpv for probably another 1500 at most. So all said and done, with the price of the car, parts, and labor (tune) I’d say it’d run about 37k at the absolute most to get any where from 350-400whp which, as long as you don’t abuse the car, will run as long as you do regular maintenance such as frequent oil changes and walnut blasting every 20-40k miles.
@ZFA1738
@ZFA1738 3 жыл бұрын
Which in that point I do agree that you could’ve gotten a base GT Mustang, RT Challenger/Charger, SS Camaro for that price new. I don’t agree with people dumping a bunch of money into these WRX’s with the intent to go fast in a straight line. Cost too much and that’s not what the car is for. I got roughly 300whp and 300wtq in my WRX and I’m totally content with it. It’s a mid 12 second car and handles like a dream. If I ever need more power I’d definitely get a used 5.0 or even hellcat or gt350.

Entirely different motor. Doesn't respond as well to ethanol due to lower compression than the WRX's FA. But the EJ is better for big power.

I have about 300whp according to my e tuner with just a catback and e30 tune on my 2020 WRX. Planning on going stage 2 e30 with MAP which just consist of intake and turboback exhaust. With there OTS tune it’s estimated to make 330whp with that setup which is more than enough power.

@@omialmanza1900 be careful with OTS e30 tune. OTS maps can tend to run more aggressive than ur car likes at certain times and end up giving ugly knock values. Highly recommend getting pro tuned by Ron at Phatbotti tuning to make even more power than that and be safer at the same time.
