HOW TO Build a 5-STAR Park in Cities Skylines [Beginner's Guide #5]

Welcome to the FIFTH episode of my ultimate beginner's guide to playing Cities: Skylines! In Episode 5:
- I build a large "central" city park that reaches level 5
- In the park, I've added plazas, paths, landscaping, a playground, chess, a trampoline park, bathrooms, cafes, a dog park, and a botanical garden!
- I expand residential and commercial north of the city
- I address some power and water issues in the city
- I add in some additional city services to meet the needs of the city as it grows to over 14,000 people!
This new series will be split into two parts. The first part will be the beginner's guide aimed at players looking to learn how to play the Vanilla version of the game. The vanilla version of the game does not include mods and community-created assets. The second part of the series will move past the beginner's guide into building a large city under vanilla gameplay constraints!

Looks good for the botanical garden you can do a trick which move the asset bck 1 tile Step one delete the segment of road that it’s on at the moment Step 2 using a local road draw out one space west of white avenue toward the botanical garden Step 3 place the garden on the newly drawled segment Next final step delete the local road and place the collector back in place you should be good You have 1 tile of space in between the garden and white street

I live in Alaska. My suggestion for the park is 'rock rise park.' Also I suggest put in a little park on the spit near your old town

Sounds good, you got it! I'll rename the park "Rock Rise Park" when I record the next episode. When you say the spit near the older part of town, which part are you referring to? I'm all for adding in more parks!

@@CitySimBuilds at the very bottom, I guess it would be the south side toward the inlet there is an unused section of land that spits out. You have some water turbines by it, near the piers.

I have a suggestion for the name of the park. Hillcrest Park. Also I think it would be really cool if you did a tram line along the river road.

Ahhh that is a good name. I had someone already suggest a name so I’m going to use that one. I’ll use Hillcrest for a future park. What if I did a zoo? Would that be okay - Hillcrest Zoo?

haha. Thanks for the suggestion! I got name from Nathaniel Davis who suggested "Rock Rise Park." Since they were first I'll use that! If you have another park suggestion though for an existing or future park, I'd be happy to make that change!
