Fantastic video. Your shots are crisp, lighting is excellent, and the knowledge is deep but delivered in a very succinct and understandable manner. Best build video on youtube. Bring on part 2 and beyond!

Nice one. Recently built up a carbon Transition Scout and the hardest part was installing the internal cable routing for the dropper post. After 2 hours of trying to jam it around the 90 degree angle I ended up using dental floss and a vacuum cleaner to suck the floss through the tubing then tying the cable housing to it to route it back through!

Perfect timing! I just picked up a 2016 Norco C7.1 Range frame for my first build ever. Excellent. I probably would have pressed in the BB before routing cables otherwise. thx!

However, have you stopped at a bike park and stayed quiet to listen for people screaming lol

Hi, really like your videos thank you so much for this insight! I had a little question, do I need to upgrade my 73 x 125.5mm Square Taper Threaded Cartridge on my 2022 trek marlin 5 to a Sram DUB BB for a 1x10 drivetrain? If so, I understand the width being 73mm, but what is the 125.5mm measurement? Is it important for the upgrade? Kindly let me know, thank you!

I read on a forum somewhere that ceramic bearings (wheel or bb) don't last that long on MTBs because ceramics are brittle and don't do well with all the impacts in MTB riding. What are your thoughts?

Greetings...I didn't know BB68 was for road bikes...this has helped already. This 4 Part series is something that I NEED to keep coming back too. If I may ask please...does this mean all threaded English BB68/73 can fit either Mountain or a Road Bike? As when ordering they say for example - "Black,68/73mm - English". Also when I fit my BB threaded...does this also mean I only look for 24mm crankset? I've seen 30mm which I think is for Pressed Fit! Maybe another Sram with a Taper? In a nutshell do all threaded BB Frames use a 24mm crankset? I thank you any correspondence Cheers.

I would personally avoid 27.2mm seatposts. Dropper posts with that diameter are not available with any more than 125mm of travel. So unless you are certain you don't want a dropper seatpost or you are fine with at most 125mm of drop, you should go for a larger diameter if possible
@sebastianjost
@sebastianjost 4 жыл бұрын
@@LoveMTB no bikes in the video but at 3:15 it was mentioned that 27.2mm diameter is common (which of course is true) But for anyone reading the comments I wanted to add that if you want to use a dropper you should watch out for the diameter the frame accepts as it can heavily limit your options when choosing a dropper post.
