When you cook in foil, just a tip, sear it first over open flames and get some nice crust. Baste with honey/bbq or whatever and then wrap and slow cook.

My dad used to get em every season and he would barbecue them when I was little I remember them being dry but as I got older they weren’t, I’m sure as I was little all I had as comparison was farmed meat to compare it bunnies are one of the best other white meat.. yum yum. I had to show my kids so I did it with a jack and double breaded them if you butcher them right one big jack will feed a family of four then a k straps and tender loin was huge and ALL MEAT

We generally fry our cottontails slow on low heat. In northwest montana we don't have jackrabbits we have snowshoe hairs and with those I like to do a stew, if you have a beef stew recipe you like just do that with hair and its super good.

Have you ever been to the lake and seen turtles on logs like 4 feet out of the water... crazy how they can climb and they don't have chicken wire to use. Lol. My turtle trap is almost the same but I used coated wire. I use a 1x8 all the way across the top and back in the water kinda like an overpass with no guard rails. I don't bait mine, they use the board in the center as a sunning spot then they just slide in when they get done.

Is it better to use a meat tenderizer on "wild" meats? Also, I don't know if it's true but is it better to put the meat on the shinier side of the foil and have the more dull side facing out when it's wrapped up and cooking? I heard this on one channel (I think DeerMeatForDinner but not positive) but haven't heard or seen other channels do it or talk about it, from what I can remember they said it helps with the heat and the reflection of the heat.
