Nifty, neat! You can't call it a sucess until you make squirrel friends, start a squirrel family and eat what they eat. Wish I were that agile in a tree. A guy in another video said going higher in the tree reduces the mosquito problem. Enjoyed your adventure.

You might think about a safety line ( life line ) incase you wake up on the ground with a broken neck.

I don't tend to move around in my sleep. That is a risk to consider though.

So is the contest judged or is it based on votes? I watched a few of the competitor videos and... well let's just say that if the contest is judged you should be packing your bags.
@PrimitiveTim9 жыл бұрын
The production company has a panel of judges that decide and I think Les Stroud has the final say in it. Yeah a lot of the other entries are terrible. The votes are basically just to get people involved on social media.

Timothy Raley Oh that's awesome. Of course who knows what they'll pick; they may actually want some ridiculous weirdo. But it looks like you have a real shot at it.
@PrimitiveTim9 жыл бұрын
***** Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised but I don't think Les will want some nut on his show.

I once tried that.....fell out though. I do think you could fix the mosquito problem primitively with mud. Great video as always and maybe you can give it another go soon!
@PrimitiveTim9 жыл бұрын
Mud tends to dry and crack then fall off and they still know you're there and buzz all over. It's going to take some experimenting but I think there's a way,

This was a fun romp Tim! As a fan I hope in the future you'll take another go at sleeping in the rough, maybe figure a way to repel the mosquitos in a modern or primitive way? Sleeping in trees is not something I hear about often so this was mildly interesting indeed. For self filming your commentary was good and you are doing better on the camera shots/angles. I appreciate your style man. I used to make bows, try to sleep outside without a tent (always freaked out by harmless things like raccoons/mink that terrorize the psyche at night), and I still am always looking for snakes and lizards. Thank you for the unique content, its been pleasant, and I hope you keep it coming in 2015.

Mosquitoes are a major issue that I need to solve in any case. I have some ideas, they just need to be put to the test.
