Life is so simple for Grey Knights --- (Pick 3 of 3) Dreadknights, Terminators Strikes (they have to do everything Move, Shoot, Fight) :) It must be so difficult for Space Marines to choose from so many options.

As a chainsword enjoyer, thanks for having something nice to say about assault intercessors! I play a 10 man squad with a chaplain out of a land raider, but I think you're the only one on KZfaq that thinks assault interceasors are good enough to mention.

My pleasure! I’m actually a big supporter of chainswords and have been since 9th where I ran a bunch of Deathwatch vets with them for the cheapest load-out possible.

Gladius one looks too vehicle focused? I’d maybe drop a vindicator to get calgar. I’d also adjust some stuff to get ventris so you can deep strike calgar and the aggressors. Maybe drop a scout squad and drop the eras squad to 3 man? Swap the redeemer for a standard land raider? Getting just enough to take ventris and the command squad. Ventris can hold home and all and the infiltrators can act as a deep strike screen. Yeah that’s 1,995 total, 5pts shy of giving the LT artificer armor.

I usually try not to lock my example rosters into any particular chapter, as some people don’t like playing Ultramarines when their army doesn’t match it. Though Calgar is definitely a beast and I’d run him in a heartbeat if I would decide to play Ultramarines. I’d definitely not run the regular LR instead of the Redeemer. As for it being too vehicular - I like this style, but you could definitely make it more infantry based, but I don’t think it’s overly vehicle heavy

I'm just coming back to 40k after a long break. Building up a scars successor chapter, focused on melee and transport. I am going a bit all in on aggressors with captain and biologis as love the models, in a crusader. Then hellblasters in transport, combi lieutenant, 10 jump pack intercessors, 5 jump pack vets and then spamming scouts and infiltrators. Probably now seeing this I'll get some inceptors. Aim is to be more mobile than my opponent by in part denying them mobility but i also think I'll enjoy this list

Sounds like an exciting list! Definitely would suggest redeemer over Crusaders but I understand that might be a thematic choice.
