I'll check the label tomorrow and get back to you! I suspect it would've been in the £200 region - the same as my DIY bike shed. BUT, wood's gone up about 20% now and it's been difficult sourcing tongue and groove.

So when it rains the water will just run off the lean-to's roof down to the ground.... either into the neighbours yard (in which they won't be happy over a period of time) or it will flow under your lean-to... which makes it all damp etc inside the lean-to. There is guttering on the main shed (I assume).... why did you not put guttering and downpipe on the edge of the lean-to... to disperse the rain water properly as there is heaps of water that do come off roofs when it rains.??? You could rig it up to a tank beside the fence for watering your gardens etc..
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK 2 жыл бұрын
That's what gravel is there for. And there's a gap between the shed and the neighbour's fence. But you could add guttering if you want to. No, the other one doesn't have it either.

Wow Vikkie that looks fantastic, just like yourself 😉, I couldn’t even think of rebuilding my shed, but I was quoted £2,500 to do a new one 😳 But It’s only the roof that’s too low really as I’m only 5’9” and my head hits the roof beams Wish I could have something like your big one at the beginning with the double doors😢 keep up the good work😊
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK 2 жыл бұрын
Wow... that's a lot of money! Even the big one didn't cost that much! But... when did you get your quote? Price of wood's gone up around 20% and my Dad keeps saying he can't get hold of tongue and groove. In fact, my next shed video, we really had to rummage for the right timber.

Hi Vikkie, another great project for us mere mortal's to learn from ; ) I have a few question's if that is ok. When you are joining the framework together i saw that you used just one screw per spur, would two screw's be better as the spurs were turning as the screw was being tightened or is that a bit overkill? The other question is (as i noticed you were using both drill driver's) which is better Makita or Dewalt. I love my Makita so go easy on me : ) Thanks in advance & all the best.
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks :) With these being smaller ripped pieces, my Dad's said in the past 1 is ok because cladding tightens it all up, but you can use 2 if you want to (he's always telling me).
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK 2 жыл бұрын
They're Makita and Stanley here. I can't tell any difference, really. But often I'll use my makita impact driver from home, which obviously drives at more force. Dad's is the Stanley and he doesn't work with impact drivers and have never used one of theirs, so couldn't compare. Hope that helps!
@baldvale5418
@baldvale5418 2 жыл бұрын
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK Thanks for that, i guess with thinner wood there is more chance of it splitting along the grain if you put too many screw's in it.
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK 2 жыл бұрын
True. Also, they have specific methods... like use thinner screws, then no need to pilot hole when working away from the ends.
